You want to look into Maskelyn. He was conscripted during WWII and had his own magic department. They used illusions to distract the enemy, including hiding Port Said (iirc) by "moving it". I won't go into any more details because I wouldn't want to spoil anything for anyone who wants to look him up. TBH, you could do a show on him and his department!
