But they missed out the best bit of that gag!!! Later in the episode when Shirley says "it's like watching his (Jeffs') soul slip through our fingers. But what more can we do?", and Annie, who has been standing beside her, pulls (from out of shot) a bottle of chloroform and as she looks at Jeffs retreating back applies the bottle liberally to the rag she is holding in her other hand. ... and then Troy grabs her hands and says "... WILL YOU STOP!?" Gold.

This show came out at the start of my junior year of HS and surprisingly it became a show my mom and I would watch every Thursday. It’s so bizarre to think that the “Remedial Chaos Theory” episode was the last thing her and I ever watched together. I came home from college for my birthday, helped set up her hospice care bed, watched that episode, and a few days later she passed. Such a random moment, but it brought me joy to have a moment like that before she got much worse over the weekend. Even today, if I see a clip of that episode or think of it, it only brings me back to that moment. It really was the last time her and I just enjoyed each others company while silently watching something. Thank you Community, I’ll have that memory for the rest of my life!

The number of times a background actor had to suddenly navigate around, over, Annie et al. is a great bonus on so many scenes. E.g., in Conspiracy Theories: "Maybe I'll just stop standing!" Look for the BG person who was juat supposed to be walking down the hallway suddenly have to do that little onstacle-course tiptoe & leap.
