From Yesvantpur Junction Station in Bengaluru, one of the largest stations for South Western Railways in Karnataka, I head to Vasco Da Gama station in Goa. The trip takes 14 hours or so. This video shows how much an Indian railways ticket costs, how to book it, what to expect, and what you can eat on an Indian train. But the trip doesn't end when I get off the train at Vasco Da Gama station. I am heading to Arambol Beach which is another 2 hours by taxi, even longer by bus as I will find out.
What do you love about riding the train in India? Let us know in the comments.

EPIC train 🚂 journey on Indian 🇮🇳 Railways Ben 😎👍🏻. I did the trip on 2AC tier from Puri to Gaya and it was epic. I even met a Sannyasi (monk) and he was cool. We chatted for some time. Chai always great on the train. You definitely saved lots of money 💲💰 🤑 by taking three buses (90 rupees) rather than the 2000 rupee cab 🚕 ride. Bahut-bahut dhanayavad Ben 🙏🏻🕉️. Tumne bahut acchaa kaam kiyaa! That means you did a great job.

Hey Benjamin, while in Goa , make sure you visit the Mangeshi Mahalasa and Shantadurga temples. These 3 temples have a lots of history behind them connected to the Portuguese rule and a lot more which you can find on the internet (i won't state those here as some bitter truths can ruffle quite a lot of feathers here on social media) but just a hint that those temples have an architectural design similar to the churches and we're built to confuse the Portuguese colonialists.

You can try the Konkan Railway stretch from Mangalore to Goa during the daytime. It offers the most outstanding views. There are three places you can visit on that route - 1. Gokarana - Known for serene quite beaches 2. Murudeshwara - Huge Shiva statue and beach 3. Udupi - A costal town where dosa and ghee roast was invented. Also beside Manipal - a student/university town.

Please visit Kailasa Temple in Ellora Caves at Aurangabad, Maharashtra India. It's considered greatest architecture in history of mankind, because the way it was built seems unbelievable for even today’s time. The temple was built at least 1300 years ago. No stone or nothing was added they carved a mammoth Granite rock/mountain with intricate details. The Kailasa Temple is notable for its vertical excavation-carvers started at the top of the original rock and excavated downward . At least 400000 tonnes of stones have been removed in the process. About 7000 workers and their future generations worked for 135 years. One small mistake and you have to rebuild the whole temple because it's carved into the rock without adding anything, that too up to down. kailasa temple secret underground tunnels believed to be leading to underground city which is even more mysterious and government have totally locked that down and no researchers are allowed to go inside. During the reign of Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb, the temple was ordered to be demolished along with other temples nationwide. For the task in 1682 he sent over 1000 labourers especially to destroy Kailasa Temple; they worked for over 3 years, but could barely manage to disfigure a few statues here and there. It's the solid granite rock that's made so hard to destroy. Despite of his repeated efforts to tear down Kailasa Temple, Aurangzeb did not found success . Finally he gave up on destroying this temple . This is the same man who has destroyed thousands of ancient temples in India but he could not destroy this one so you can understand the the magnanimity of the temple. other than Kailasa Temple there are 99 other cave temples there (100 total) of which 34 are open for public viewing. whole temple complex known at Ellora Caves.

That is the Castle Rock-Dudhsagar water falls-Culem section. The train passes very close to the Dudhsagar water falls. Additional locos gets added to the train at Castle Rock to act as "brakers". There is another express train starting from Chennai/Madras. It reaches Yeshwantpur Jn at around 2100hrs. That train would cross the pass/ghat section during day hours.

Also I think you might already have your plans ready about what places you're gonna visit after goa so I would recommend place as of now and just become a subscribe , and check out your videos as each one comes up and then maybe suggest a few missed out places !!! Actually even I went on a ride on an AC train on April 2nd from Bengaluru to Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) we thought they would give blankets but they didn't so my mom took the lower berth and I got the upper berth and we didn't take blankets and pillows, and I couldn't sleep properly and I took some power naps with breaks in between to fill my energy, even when I got there I felt tired every now and then, but it wasn't IRCTC's fault, but on the bright side many trains actually start after their estimated time and reach before their estimated time

I think there is always a miscommunication.... When Indians use the word "spicy" they use it to denote the 'hot- ness"(amount of chilli and pepper) of the dish. But spicy for Westerners denotes the "flavour, pungency". So when Indians tell it is spicy it means that it has more chilli, and when it's not spicy it means it has less chilli.- nothing to do with spices lol.
