These were taken from three or four episodes of Поле чудес (Russian Wheel of Fortune) ranging from 1992-95. Lots of awesome CGI and wacky Soviet-era wackiness. #VintageTV #SovietTV #WheelOfFortune #Полечудес #1990s

Most of these commercials look so warm and comforting just like the American commercials from the 90’s. These post Soviet commercials look very different compared to the Soviet 80’s commercials. I’m an American 90’s baby, and I’m not Russian, but some of these commercials look very nostalgic to me, that I picture seeing some of these during my childhood lol I don’t know why, especially the one in 4:07. Also what’s sad is that during this time, Russia’s crime rates were very high, I hope these actors were alright back then.

You know, I might be wrong, but I know that these aired on Russian tv but I think some of these are actually American (there might even be some British ones) but they dubbed them over in Russian. Puerto Rican speaking by the way.

Definitely. I noticed that even as a kid living in Russia. We even had American commercials for Clearasil and Colgate recycled from the 70s and 80s playing on Russian TV until the late 90s.

These don't seem really any different than the ads in the 90s over here in murika, guess there really isn't much difference in between the ruskies and the murikans lol. LOL John Candy @8:26 what was he doin in a russian flick?

MMM. Biggest scam, a financial piramide. The creator of it was Mavrodi, half-russian, half-ukrainian. Scammed people out of million roubles (according to calculations, 3 billion roubles). Started an MMM political party in Ukraine. Died due to heart condition. Was an American asset. His wife also tried to steal a newborn once.

@@df7205whip48 What Soviet Union? The Soviet Union officially ended on the 25th of December 1991, and these commercials are all from between 1992-1995. These are stylistically and aesthetically pretty much identical to western TV commercials from the same period. Even moreso, many of them are actually just dubbed British or American commercials (very common practice all over Europe and South America). So I don't see what could be so dystopian about these ads unless you find 90s era British and American commercials dystopian too, in which case, you do you I guess. What is it with Americans and Anglos always trying very hard to say "intelligent" or "deep" things even when there's no need for them to or they have no knowledge of the topic at hand, just in order to appear smart?
