Just started watching this channel after beginning my first game on webdiplomacy. It has been a great help. I drafted Italy in my game and I was going to go for Tunis but thanks to your how to play Italy I instead played more aggressive. I was able to take Trieste in the first year thanks to a stab. You got a new subscriber my friend.

Watched a bit of this and reflected this in a game I just had. I felt it coming, all the red flags were there, but I just took it as my own paranoia. Everybody has an enemy. I’ll take this advice to heart in my further games

Sometimes you need to take the risk even when the red flags are going off. Occasionally it works out.

Why would people dislike this video?

Clearly they have been stabbed, and didn't enjoy the experience much. Still bitter.

Really interesting video. I'm not that familiar with Diplomacy, but a lot of these principles also apply to Survivor in my view. That is another game that is largely built around betraying people. Only one player can win and only two or three even make it to the end of the game.

Absolutely. Very Machiavellian.

Instructions unclear, I stabbed my ally and lost immediately

Make sure the blood trail doesn't lead back to your country. Just frame France.

Do you have an example of how you can selectively communicate to test trust?

If I'm Russia, I might hint to England that I'm heading for Germany, and hint to Turkey that I'm aiming for Austria. If Germany suddenly starts messaging me, wondering what I'm up to, then England is likely a snitch. If Austria responds, defensively, then I'll know where Turkey's loyalties are.

Can I have clarity about something basic? I haven't played before. Can navies take land provinces, and can they support armies, or can they only do stuff at sea?
@LegendaryTacticsАй бұрын
Yes, navies can take land territories so long as they are adjacent to water. No land locked captures. They can also support armies into water-adjacent spaces as well. You can also move armies across the water on a navy (from coastal space to coastal space).

1. You are new/everyone else is in a clique. 2. You won the last game. 3. You are bad at reading people and other people know this.
