I hope you won't feel upset about the guard who stopped you from vlogging in the restricted area. The guard is simply doing his job; it just so happens that he couldn't fully explain the reason for the policy. To provide some context, in the past, there have been extreme incidents of mall bombings in the Philippines, like the 2018 bombing at Mindanao Mall. Such cases are the reasons why most establishments in the Philippines don't permit filming on their premises due to security concerns.

Baby Jesus in Cebu is darker because it has been burned. The Nino was given to the wife chieftain of Cebu by Ferdinand Magellan as a gift but got burned. Miraculously,Sto. Nino was then found by Miguel Lopez de Legaspi when he arrived to the Philippines years after the death of Ferdinand Magellan.

I think the reason for the vlogging/video permit is for them to be able to have leads in case of terrorist attacks. Because maybe terrorists do surveys/study attack venues. They may have cctv but unless they have a name it will be more challenging - maybe we still don't have hi-tech technologies like reliable facial recognition equipment/program..so it's valid unless it's not..haha Nice vid. Very candid and educational at the same time. We get to learn similarities and differences of both countries.Kudos.

actually, cam recording or even photo taking is not allowed in certain premises to prevent surveillance possibly or commonly used by "terrorists" or people with ill intentions.they may disguise themselves as vloggers or casual visitors or tourists.the permit or approval to record is granted by the bldg admin/owners only after their supposed investigation or screening of the requestors' identity, purpose, and scope of activity.

Great Vlog. I have never visited Mall of Asia in the 8 years that I have been in the Philippines. Matter of fact, I barely travel out of my home. Regarding Muslims, their religion is mostly Islam. It doesn't make sense that the security was saying you cannot record a vlog but most people around use their cellphones to make videos all over. Regarding the image of Jesus shown in different colors, as I understood during the time I studied the Word when I was much younger, the Lord will appear to anyone anywhere in the world in their own color and speak their own language. If I remember correctly (correct me if I am mistaken because it has been years), during the rapture, Jesus will appear face to face with every living being in the world and speak at the same instant but each and everyone will see, hear and understand in their own language and color as well.

Your video just came across at my feed... I've enjoyed watching your video. Sorry if the guard interrupted you while your recording, he just doing his job, but I got your point about recording and asking for a permit. What's the used of a permit for safety purposes if only the video will expose anyway in public? Anyone can seen it and God knows what they'll gonna do about it. But thanks for choosing our country to be featured in your vlog. Philippines is also a third world country. But I must say we Filipinos should be grateful for what we have that other countries can't have or don't have. Welcome to the Philippines.❤🇵🇭

Calamansi is hard to grow in colder places, but in Dominica I think you can. The only challenge would be to grow it from seeds. They have specific requirements for the soil, that Im not knowledgeable about, but in warmer areas they are easier to cultivate. The easiest way to cultivate the plant is to plant it as a small plant. Which is hard to do because there are international laws that prevent bringing certain plants that are coming from other countries, due to its harmful effects to the local environment of the country you bring the Clamansi to.

What the guard told you makes sense, but it is useless at the same time because most of the time, if not all of the time, nobody tries to get permits. Kalamansi is native to the Philippines. It is also called kalamunding (calamondin in English). It is commercially available in California and Hawaii because of the huge Filipino-American population in these two states. Kalamansi is grown in Florida too. It is also available in parts of Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan.

They ask you to get permit for taking videos so they at least have records of who are taking videos of the whole area because sometimes terrorists are doing this, surveying the whole area before they plan and execute their evil motives. But you’re also right that it is useless if they can take videos using phones as well.

To me it's just another one of those useless Filipino bureaucratic red tape to add to the job description of the security guards, and it's enforcement is random, without any uniformity or warning to the vloggers with a signage "NO VLOGGING ALLOWED FOR PUBLIC SECURITY". The permit is probably handwritten as opposed to digitalized which is more useful if really used for forensics.

Well, initially the sto nino de cebu was fair skinned when magellan gave it to the queen of cebu in 1521 as a baptismal gift but when legaspi came to cebu in 1545 and had a fight with the natives, they burn their houses and afterwards found the image in one of the huts still intact despite being charred due to the fire. So that is the reason why the sto nino de cebu is colored black.
