3:45 if you fish in the first person mode, and find just the right spot below your character you can also fish on top of your character, another fishing tip i have is that you can save about 0.5 seconds on each reel if you quick swap out of and back into your fishing rod the moment you hold caught fish above your head, it cancels the whole animation that happens after holding the fish above your head (i love min-maxing my time)

oh one more fishing related tech that not alot of people use is movement canceling with the fishing rod, when you equip *i think* any type of rod, your movement freezes for a second, this has alot of uses such as canceling a boost from a lizard if you are gonna overshoot your target, or by spamming your fishing rod you can kinda slow fall. This is rather useless tech since i ever only used this for speedruns

Haha how do you know so much about fishing. I knew about the slow-fall but that animation cancel thing is actually really useful, might help me get the time fish a bit faster!

I love trying to find glitches within all the grindy things i do in game, which leads to me knowing alot of techs/tips that are mostly useless

@@olfa304 I wouldn't call it useless, I use it all the time, particularly on new accounts, as a replacement for parasol. I've even made a macro to spam equip it as fast as the game allows (with good ping) so you can REALLY float. Funnily enough, it makes fishing rods useful in combat.

the one about the time is extremely useful especially on the cosmic ghost grind, ive used it for years, it beccomes night at every other time of day ending in 5 so like for example 3:15, 3:35, 3:55) it becomes day 5 minutes after each of those, definitely very important to know as ive seen people in chat saying they wants a carriable clock added to tell time!

Another tip about the day/night cycle: FF uses real world time to determine day/night. So It will always turn daytime or already be daytime at X:X0 and it will always turn night every other X:X5! Also, I had no idea about the Democan lore, wow!

@@Frontier_Time i found it back in 2019, and hasnt been patched since, may i enquire what did you find yours? also i find spasming the camera in all directions tends to be more unpredictable, but more efficient.

Server time can be slightly different from week to week and month to month. Usually its not more than a few seconds, but it still happens pretty often
