Incredibly hard to name a favorite with such a stacked team over all those years. I‘d say Mike Mo or Mariano, but as a German, I will always have a Special Place in my heart for the Euro guys, Lucas Puig and JB Gillet. Would be thrilled for a 14 things on Zoo York, they have an interesting history, and were the Heart and Soul of eastcoast skating for so many years. Keep it up guys!

Just got my first pair of lakais a month ago. They're great shoes. Thanks for doing these videos. They're A lot of fun to watch. If I could share my opinion on lakai. The shoes I have remind me of Vans but are more durable and much more stable around the heel making for excellent fit.

You missed out on where they got bought out by Altamont Holdings and then in 2017 got sold (as part of Huf) to Japanese company TSI, who were their Japanese distributor. They haven’t been owned by Carroll and Howard for years.

IDK man, I've had almost every of Vans' best sellers and they're as good today as the 1st time they released. And those from the skate (formerly pro) line, are way better. Lakai, in the other hand, it's always a hit or miss as the fit of their footwear is never consistent. The Telford reissues are criminally narrow around the toe area and have a much slimmer profile compared to the original. And I haven't heard good things from their other models either. Quite frankly it's a miracle they're still in business. Besides the obvious choices like Nike, Adidas and Vans, I always recommend any other skate shoe brand, but Lakai.

@@ShredzShop not sure bro sorry its been ages, the clips at Playstation are at around @4:10 in your video though. you see marc skate over a barrel and the hubba has PSPSPSPSPSPS across it. My mate's mum used to run the old food stall in there and i went to a spanish school around the corner in Portobello(where they filmed Notting Hill), also Kyron on Nike SB is the son of Bullet who used to take care of the park back then. It's still around but now its owned by Nike SB after the park was bought by Microsoft and rebranded to XBoX skatepark from SONY before Nike SB picked it up and renovated. good times there, it was pretty much the only wooden park in London at the time and one of the only places to skate other than the Southbank when the rain hits. probably not what you asked for but then again this is a things you didn't know video. also i got to meet Mullen and Haslam at a jam there one time with my homie Tim Prozorov who now rides for DC in Estonia :) .many many good times

Lakai Telford are probably my favourite skate shoes of all times. I also skate some other Lakais models and I generally love Adidas (all kind of Busenitz models) but whenever I buy a new pair of Telfords it always feels like going home after a long tiresome trip and sleeping in your bed once again

With Lakai, I always recommend trying them before you buy them. But in your particular case if you can't and a high top from Lakai is what you're after, get the Trugers instead.

One thing everyone knows about Lakai shoes - you better have a sponsorship, because these things won't last more than 1 - 2 weeks! I really like how they feel right from the box, but at the same time the durability is awful. I thought I could finally get away owning a pair now that I don't skate anymore, but now one month later there are already holes in the soles and I haven't even walked that much. However, despite that I think they are excellent shoes.
