#14 - Twingo Mk1 gearbox oil drain and refill

Today i drain the gearbox oil on the Twingo Mk1 and refill it with fresh oil.
The oil used is the Elf Tranself NFJ 75w80 gear oil. I used this on all of my RenaultSports and is compatible with nearly all manual Renault gearboxes. I've found using any other oil causes sluggish and difficult gear changes.
There has been resistance when changing between gears. I suspected that there may not be much gearbox oil as the selector mech on the bottom of the gearbox was covered in oil from a leak. I assumed that it was leaking turned out that it was from somewhere else much easier to fix.

As a Twingo collector (8 vehicles, all 93-95 C3G700 engines) I'm getting worried: Elf Tranself NFJ 75w80 is becoming unobtainium and several distributors here in the South of Europe (Portugal, Spain and Italy) say they won't be getting it anymore. The alternative that works for mine performance wise is Eurol HPG 75W-80 GL5 CP that I've tried in two cars with an even increased performance. But on the other hand... its GL5 and there's a lot of talk about it being detrimental to the gearbox in the longtime.

Someone has jacked the car on the sump pan. Was there a sump fearing under the engine bolted to the bumper and subframe?

hi i've enjoyed watching your videos , i wonder if you could give me a little advice , i have a 2008 twingo , all the gears a quite stiff to select with reverse being the worst , it doesnt make any difference if the engine is running or not , would you have any idea as to what it could be , it hasa rod linkage and not cables
