It's good that obesity issue is already being talked about while the country is on it's way through the economic ladder, otherwise Philippines will become worse than the US in that regard. You go to the provinces and you will notice that most youngsters are still very slim and fit. I noticed this right away the last time I visited because I went directly to my home province

Critiquing is way different from observing, because the former might sound offensive for some people. But you were very observant and spitting out truths while you were in the Philippines, Ovela. Personally, I don't take any offense with your observations because they are generally true also. We may or may not be able to do something about it, but that's the way of life in this country. I am a Filipino and it's ok for me if you tell us your observations wether it be a criticism or not. In that way, we would be at least corrected. And it's really true that some of this "unpleasant things" that are happening in the Philippines are not good not only for the health but for the whole being of the society. Noooo.. even if you are not a foreigner they will call you handsome or beautiful.. example: if the tricycle driver offer you a ride they will said "beautiful where are you going?" the vendors will call you "It's only 100pesos per kilo handsome, how many kilo's do you want? 3kilo?"😂😂

what foreign people do not understand is that we use umbrella because the heat of the sun is very painful to the skin.the same reason why bikers hide their entire body. also chopsticks are in chinese or koreans restos.and not all filipinos walk very slow.😂 i walk very fast cuz im always in a hurry.the reason why men raise their shirt halfway is to ventilate the back not intentionally showing their belly because they proud how big it is.😂😂😂😂😂 i even raise my shirt halfway too when im at home alone but i make sure my belly isnt showing just the back.😂

Bikers/motorists used gear to protect their skin exposing to sunlight. And when you are driving you don't feel hot. It's windy.. Softening your tone, huh? Please stop saying that things you "observed" on your first video don't bother you, because we don't care if you are bothered or not. It is our country. Our way; our rules. And, if you want to be in another country, it is you who needs to adjust, and not the locals. You get it? Filipinas calling you: handsome, pogi and guwapo doesn't mean anything. We just appreciate everything, anything and everyone in our country. It is so normal (just like how we say "cute" to every dogs and cats). Also, to make them feel comfortable. Simply because we are Filipinos. We are naturally warm, hospitable, and friendly (sometimes, overly friendly) that SOME foreign pollutants try to abuse. Needless to say, we know their liking, they want their egos to be fed. Please, bear in mind that appreciating and liking are two different things. We may APPRECIATE the PRESENCE but that doesn't mean we LIKE the PRESENCE. Why? Because some of them act like gods and mighty, when for us, they simply look stupid. And, please don't be so full of yourself, because not all Filipina like foreigners. Especially Filipinas who are educated , independent and financially stable ones. You see, Filipinos are warm, kind and friendly but definitely not stupid. We are good judges of character, we see beyond smiles and actions. We read between the lines. If we don't talk to someone, that's because we can sense something is not good in that person. Like the grab driver in your first "observation" video. He is quiet, not because he is feeling insecure of his command of English. He is not feeling the vibe of talking to that person (maybe something is off to that person). Or Or because he simply doesn't want to, okay? And no one is compelled to do so! * Note: The way you mock Filipinos say English words, (by repeating it, to emphasize the way it was said) is very rude. It is the reflection of who you truly are as a person and not us, as the country and as it's people. So again, Ovela, please save yourself from all the hassles, PLEASE stay in Canada. And, give us a big favour by staying away from us, we don't need you in the Philippines.
