For those that are confused by the very end of the game, you have to watch what happens on the actual board. The digital board does not show it due to Gabriel making the illegal move by not moving his king out of check.

technically it was a win for Gabriel....but he could not claim it...slo motion captures it by a mil second ..go to 17:51 and you will see the clock at 00:00 just as IM levon is about to touch his clock.........great game....

The last minute of this game was so intense. I can't imagine human brains being able to react, deduce, plan and execute so quickly. As a chess player with no clocks all I can do is shake my head in amazement.
@matthewviramontes31315 жыл бұрын
The kid actually won because the dude made an illegal move with the last move. Blitz rule #4 in the 7th edition of the United States Chess Federation's Official Rules of Chess (page 235) specifically states that "Each player must press the clock with the same hand that moves the pieces, *using one hand to both move the pieces and to press the clock"* And he clearly used both hands, using his right hand to move his own piece, and use his left hand to remove the opponent's piece from the board.

Do you even know coffeechess street rules.
@simohayha60315 жыл бұрын
All that horseshit like using this hand or castling with 2 hands not allowed don't count on the street. The only rules are presented in the intro including its ok to take the king to win, (another street rule that doesn't fit into your wannabe clever booklet of chess rules).
@simohayha60315 жыл бұрын
Also you call out the master for an "illegal move" but kid made the first illegal move namely ignoring the check.

No player can be required to watch the clock that closely. It's like saying the horse must call the photo-finish or he loses? Wrong. IM lost to the photo finish.

@courtneykachur94875 жыл бұрын
If you don’t call clock you don’t win on time. So the bad move, (being completed prior to him calling time), is the losing move

Little master lost due to illegal move.

technically the IM won since it's a blitz game and youre allowed to capture the king but it's so petty. NM wouldve won otherwise in position and on time

I don't like the rule about having to call the clock to win but rules are rules if both agreed. Also I didn't see the OTB king get taken, the graphic didn't show it which confused things further. Great now I get it though.

If king goes there you check on c3, king b1 and you play a4. Then you sack the queen for blacks last pawn and you run a pawn.
