Carlini is like the super awesome science teacher that everyone has in middle school, and now he’s retired and just plays chess for hours everyday.

Trying to play blitz chess at a high level with all that going on is impressive . Not to mention holding like 5 conversations ... Carlini is very fun to watch. I think if he wanted to , he could have made it known that the hints were not welcome .

I think Carlini has the image he wants. He competes with the kids seriously and they're totally comfortable with him. He's making chess both fun and challenging. I wish he'd been around in my childhood chess club.

they meant that if Black had taken on e4 and white played Bxe4 then it would have been Qe1 #

@Thomas Cusack .... yeah they were, but it wasn't at 4:30 it was earlier starting at like 4:05, and of course white wouldn't have been that dumb the guy in the background explained the entire tactic to the little chinese kid playing white

At 3:37 Dont you think the kid should have played Ra1 instead af Rc1, and after this pushing Pawn b4. I feel like he could have trapped the Queen am I wrong?

4:22 was checkmate to Carlini and he saw it but I guess he just wanted to keep the game going. Somehow I knew the review would skip it to. We were all cheeky when we were kids.

It's not because if the kid takes the knight with his bishop Qe1 is mate. So it's just a free pawn or a win.

New to watching ... suggestion, when a rematch is demanded, you should link to it or just show it as a part of the same video, or explain it is not available. It's a bit frustrating hunting for something we don't even know if it exists.

If I had to say who Carlini most looks like it would be the D.E.A. brother in law from breaking bad. In fact Carlini shaved his head he'd have even more powerful presence at the table.

Good to see the kids getting involved with the game but there is a difference between trash talk and just being obnoxious. It's funny when it is about the game, it's not funny when you make personal comments. Keep it light kids.
