Fantastic episode. Good to hear from Gautam about his journey with ARRehman. VTV released in Telugu as Ye Maya chesave also got gud response and songs are block busters till now. Eagerly waiting for next episode

Even I was shocked at the comparison but later saw that they compared owing to the successful run of the movie in theatres for more than a decade than DDLJ and also that it's a love story. Where DDLJ is a plain love story in the nineties, this movie has many layers I explored complexities in love and relationships only between two lovers and not much about their families like DDLJ or HAHK! That way VT is a totally different genre even if it's about love!!

DDLJ was an ok album but was a massive hit in north belt. Jatin Lalit have done much better work in their other films. Comparing Rehman’s work in this film with DDLJ is not appropriate. This is a far mar more superior, unique and nuanced album

VTV is an album which everyone was eagerly waiting to hear ARR back from international... At last he proven that he is the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever be.... The whole album was not like typical tamil songs (pallavi, charanam and continue the same). It was really new sound of music with a blast of quality. People started to open the perception of accepting music which like only with pallavi, music, pallavi and continues the same... That was the best feeling when listening and its still doesn't lost it fragrance which still fresh.

Mannipaya song is a nice composition d song is great because it's an ARR composition it does not matter whether Shreya gave her voice in it actually ARR 's portion was really mesmerizing as always

Albums like VT, Shivaji, Cheliya are answers to all those critics slamming ARR post Oscars that he slowed down or lost the game, etc. Truly another masterstroke of Rahman for a different generation that is not from the nineties and yet Rahman aces this score as well with such world class finesse! The icing on the cake here, ofcrs, is GM 's first time collab with Rahman and his passion for making such films reminds us of Mani Ratnam. This guy definitely did a fab job in bringing out all the much needed nuances in this love story that equally reflected in its music too. Plus, the way he incorporates his own life experiences into the screenplay without sounding boastful but more real is quite amazing thing to do as a director. The best part is how it got it's title from the famous song in Minsara Kanavu. Also, the song Hosanna too with it's Christian elements is another testament to Rahman's open mindedness to all religions and to his reputation of that of a global composer. I didn't watch the sequel to this movie, however, but will watch when it happens. I hope the director also talks about it's Telugu release with a different cast though the songs almost remain the same.
