Short of giving his life. Ronnie left it ALL on that stage. All. Can’t disrespect his dedication 🙏 Honestly, I think Jay could have beaten prime Ronnie. He just couldn’t and wouldn’t do what Ronnie did. The biggest difference between these two is obvious today. Jay didn’t want to leave it ALL on that stage. The price Ronnie paid was too high. I’m just not convinced Ron KNEW he was paying the price. I’m convinced Jay fully knew. Either way. Much respect gentleman, I enjoyed watching you both as a kid.

I was there for the entire Ronnie Coleman run and let me tell you something about Ronnie Coleman. He loved his fans and he loved being Mr. Olympia more than anybody I ever experienced. You really had to be there during those years. Ronnie would come to the night of the champions in New York City every year and take off his shirt and pose for a second or two and ---he was huge. Unreal. The biggest thing I've ever seen on stage and the crowd would go crazy for him. Jay Cutler is very unique and probably the greatest ambassador the sport has ever had except for Arnold Schwarzenegger. And there is no doubt that Jay loves and respects his fans. But I have to say there was something special about Ronnie Coleman and the way he related to the audience that loved him. This x Factor is not talked about at all. I never hear people mention it. But while Ronnie Coleman was Mr. Olympia he radiated like a star. The guy you see speaking now is not the same person who he was when he was Mr. Olympia. He was happier and he had so much energy and so much love and joy. It literally spilled out out of him. For those of us who were lucky enough to be there with Ronnie, there is only one. Ronnie Coleman. God bless him forever.

I didn't realize Ronnie was this good at story-telling. He's good at leaving off on a certain part. Giving the nuances necessary to feel how it felt in that moment, and continuing where he left off wothout missing a step. The way he explained his 1st win took about 20 minutes, but it was full of depth. Thinking he should consider making a movie... have Samson play him or something lol

Thanks for this Jay. You both are the reason why I fell in love with this sport. You both are an extension of Arnold and Lee Haney as far as how much you helped this sport. You paved the way for those doing this today. I hate to say that I’ve lost interest in this sport because you both are no longer on the stage. The feel just isn’t the same. This is what’s sad about seeing generational talents retire. It hurts and it just doesn’t feel the same anymore. The battles between you and Ronnie are never forgotten and still fuel my desire to work out. I’m 45 years old today, full of back issues due to heavy lifting but I wouldn’t change it for NOTHING. Thank you for all the memories and motivation you both brought into my life.
