I agree with you but I don’t think he’s going to dominate like Ronnie or Jay year upon year. I love Samson but he needs another one under his belt to be part of that convo or he’s just another 1 time Mr O
@CHanksII9 күн бұрын
@ I agree with you but NO ONE will ever dominate like Ronnie. Ronnie is easily the greatest Bodybuilder of all time. With that being said…. Samson is the closest BB we’ve ever seen that is somewhat comparable to Ronnie(even though he’s obviously not as good as Ronnie yet). Samson is the only BB that has literally gotten better from each and every show he does. If he continues on his current trajectory and as long as he stays healthy, he can go on a serious run

Based on the comment that Masters should not compete in open then people like Urs, CBUM etc should not be able to compete in open BB. Love every show and the open dialogue.
@MilosSarcevOfficialYoutubePage4 күн бұрын
I don't disagree with that... You compete in the class you earned your pro card. MAYBE (?) some exceptions can be made - when IFBB specially invite whoever they think earned that right...but by all means: if you have to do masters show to win the pro card...and you had the chance same day to enter open division at the probably same contest - it ,must be a reason why you opted for masters instead... Same goes for - lets say - someone winning men's physique pro card...and couple of years later chose to switch to classic....and maybe open soon after....HOW ON EARTH DID THEY DESERVE THAT?

This is little 'ol me, who will never win an IFBB pro-card, but i absolutely agree with what Lee Priest has said. The league gave out too many pro cards, and it's been diluted. He also pointed out that "back in the day" they didn't take 3+ years off "to get bigger". If you were a pro, you competed as a pro. Just because you paid $100,000 to get your pro card doesn’t mean you have the quality to be a successful pro. It should still be a meritocracy, and only the best of the best should be pro, and those are the athletes that will be constantly competing anyway. *I believe Hany said he had Phil take a year off before he went into the Olympia so he could put on size? But that wasn't 3 years, which is MORE than enough time to improve and compete. Even Jay sat out 2002 and came back in '03 but again, one year is not 3 years.

If you look at another sport like boxing. Once you register as a pro, you are a pro for life. You can never compete as an amateur. The logic being that if you became a pro, the skill level is too great. I think the same is definitely true for bodybuilding. Obviously, if somebody Turned pro, they should be able to turn pro again, but it’s really unfair to do that to the amateurs, not just the pros themselves.
@vlada3 күн бұрын
Imagine R. Grimes doesn't compete for another year and he has to compete again as an amateur to get his pro card? You're right, unfair to the amateurs and waste of time for an. Established pro.

I’m sure they would take constructive criticism in order to make things better overall. Matt does contribute to this podcast for sure. A definite value for sure, but I did wish Jay spoke a bit more as opposed to staying in the sidelines so to speak. At the end of the day, we get to see Jay Cutler this often. How many “Greats” give us this kind of exposure? Pretty cool to say the least. I can appreciate Matt today from a different perspective.

Fit model is a complete win-win imo. It promotes a healthier look. It's "attainable", so can sell more supplements to the average woman. It lends itself to the social media culture. And women can't crossover easily like the guys can, they have to qualify in fit model division to compete. Plus the look is among the most balanced on stage (next to the wellness look). If Samson comes in condition again, we need to finally start talking about how many times he will win the ⭕️. No offense to the other guys, but just talking potential (hypothetical everyone at 100%), it's Samson all day.
