Solo trad climbing the classic climb sixish. Shows the setup at the beginning of this video. Setup shows rope bag, the rope has knots every few feet as backup. Grigri setup is to ground anchor and slack line goes into rope bag. It was interesting to say the least cleaning this problem because of the traverse on the top. As a fellow solo trad climber in the Gunks, I'm gun-shy when it comes to cleaning routes with long(ish) traverses. I do want to start using my Gopro again, so thanks for the inspiration and I hope to see you out there soon!

I listened to it on mute and enjoyed it. I replayed it with volume on and it became something beautiful. Great work :) 2 questions: What is the song? Why do you friction hitch to the placements? Doesn't that put more strain on the cam and less on the rope? I'm newish to rope soloing and am just curious.

I use munter hitches to keep the rope from slipping downwards and creating lots of slack. Make sure you use munter hitches and not clove hitches. Munsters slip a little bit, clove hitches dont slip and create a bad fall factor

Have too many interests but I try to focus on climbing. Been hard lately, but hoping to do alot more climbing this year
