@@Alexandria-hq1uy I agree. The house prices here in Montego Bay are going up everyday. Typical Jamaicans cannot afford to buy houses in the town, it would work out better to buy a nice piece of land in the country and build up an empire.

How can Jamaicans living abroad, like myself, stay informed about upcoming property developments in Jamaica before they are sold out? I currently contribute to the National Housing Trust (NHT) and only visit Jamaica every 6 months, but by the time I find out about new projects, they are often already sold out and only posted on KZbin or TikTok. Should I contact a realtor before I’m eligible?

Good Day. I would advise you to contact NHT to get a qualification letter so that you can be ready to make a move on an NHT project or something on the open market. You can see stat updates on upcoming schemes by checking the NHT website or visiting a real estate website to see available housing units. One of the best websites to see available units would be www.classarealestate.com

It’s all about the amount f points that you have when it comes on to NHT houses. The more you have the better chance you have. With these houses, it’s mainly for civil servants.
