I just got this monitor 2 days ago and I'm gonna to send it back to the shop. Monitor itself is very good, beautiful colors, good response time and of 1440p with 165hz refresh rate. But the major thing that disqualifies that monitor for gaming (at least action type games) is big ghosting. At the beginning I thought "Meh, it's not gonna bother me, it can't be that bad". I was totally wrong. When you play e.g. FPS game in dark environment even not professional eye will notice the ghosting. (I even noticed it just playing CS:GO where maps are not that dark). Just to summary I would recommend that monitor for graphic designers, movie watchers etc. but definitelty not for gaming (as I said especially actions FPS games and unless you can get used to it. I don't have the ability to stand this phenomen.) Positives: - Refresh rate - 165Hz - Quick response time - Smooth working - Beautiful colors - Very good resolution Negatives: - Big ghosting - The height of the monitor cannot be adjusted If you are the person who owns that monitor you can share your opinion here too.

Hi, it's a tough one. Ghosting is an inherent nature of VA panel technology. Every monitor that uses VA is going to experience ghosting. But VA instead has great contrast ratios. So, there's not one 'best' panel type. Each has its pros and cons. If you're sensitive to ghosting, you'd be better off with a fast IPS panel. Hope this helps!

Since the refresh rate of the PS5 is limited to 120Hz, you would only be able to perceive a maximum 120fps. Also, since there’s no native 1440p output at the moment you’d be either upscaling from 1080p or downsampling from 4K, depending on the game’s resolution mode. In terms of HDR, most first-party/AAA games support it, but not all. The benefits of HDR depend on the game you’re playing. Hope this helps :)

Hi, the two monitors are pretty much the same besides resolution. It comes down to what you will mainly be using the monitor for. If you are doing some photo or video editing on the monitor then the flexibility of the 1440p (G27CQ4) monitor would be better as those extra pixels can come in really handy. When you want to switch to gaming as well you can knock it down to 1080p to get a few extra FPS or if your system is quite powerful then you can enjoy the benefit of the 1440p monitor at its native resolution.

Hi, are you using HDMI? Over HDMI, the refresh rate maxes out at 144Hz on this monitor. Hope this helps!

@@x1ord_lionx Hi, as per MSI's own specs (bit.ly/3HhXtdQ) the HDMI only supports up to 144Hz. You need DisplayPort for both 1440p and 165Hz. Hope this helps!

Avoid MSI monitors, you will get stuck pixels and MSI will not RMA unless they are in a group of 5 or more.
