Combined 3 reviews into one, you are a trickster, sir! Saltiness aside, thanks for another quality piece, now I'm confident in my initial decision to go with KTC. This video helped in my decision. All monitors are good in similar and different ways but for me, as you said, getting any of these monitors for a good price was an important factor. I ordered a KTC monitor just yesterday and it’ll be coming in sometime next week. Edit #1: It’s been a few days since I’ve had my KTC, and so far, it’s amazing. The change from 60hz to 165hz is a crazy jump but something I had quickly got use to quickly. So far in the FPS games and other games that I’ve played, it feels really nice. Will update again for those interested in the KTC. Edit #2: About 2-3 month update here. The monitor is awesome. It’s honestly just great to come back to and play on after a day of school. I have yet to run into any real issues but otherwise, amazing monitor for the price. Would recommend if you want to buy one.

I myself am planning on moving back to 1080p from 1440p (been running 1440p for 8 yrs) as I I want more frames in some of the titles I play and willing to take the hit in image fidelity as I will still have my Acer XF270HU as a secondary panel.

This doesn't make any sense. Fps aren't lost at 1440p unless the GPU is old and not really capable. The system should be built around the GPU first. Get a decent midlevel one, such as a 7800 XT and you can drive really high frame rates at 1440p. That card will play many games at well over 150 fps, at high quality settings for example.

beginning in the 1980s, I worked with the STANDARD 14 inch monitors for all formats, and have steadily and routinely UPGRADED MONITORS over the last 40 years of gaming. Unfortunately the Gaming Monitor selection displayed here is only in the 24 inch range: this model has been far surpassed with introduction of 32 inch models. I have purchased for my 3 sons and myself Iiyama G-Master GB3266QSU 32 "monitors, and NONE of us shall ever return to the 24"standard. Choosing 24"reflects essentially continuing to Game in a cramped screen mode, and the mentality behind this Gents video is that it is essential to choose the CHEAPEST option. While enhancing the Gaming experience (through adopting the upgraded Monitors) reflects the ideology of attempting to self provide the most optimal Hardware, so as to increase Gaming Pleasure. And of course, the 34"wide monitor styles are not even considered. In my opinion INVESTING a bit more to enhance one's Gaming experience is simply an investment in QUALITY ENTERTAINMENT. ♾

@ZenAndPsychedelicHealingCenter10 ай бұрын
A 27", 1440p IPS monitor with a high refresh rate, wide color gamut and good motion handling doesn't need to be expensive nowadays. There's no good reason anymore to buy a 1080p monitor and VA panels are generally not as good in some aspects as IPS. Around $250 should provide you with a good range to choose from. Acer in particular have some great monitors around this price. If you do want that little bit extra, then look for a monitor that reaches around 600 nits in HDR at least, if you do want to use HDR. Anything below that isn't really worth paying more for. I'd say that 600 nits is the bare minimum for HDR but should also mean a brighter SDR screen, which can be helpful for some work and gaming.

Koorui, ipason is an internal brand from its panel factory, thats why they can give cheaper price compare to other brand where they sell their panel to. the panel quality is somewhat same, the diference is their treatment to it, they kinda make it has lower quality, like lower their color accuration, etc. cus well, otherwise those brands that buy the panel from their factory will stop buy it from them. So if u look just for gaming and watching movies those internal brand are already good enough, but for a better color accuracy for design working, editing, and aftersale service, it’ll be wiser to choose bigger brand.
@ZenAndPsychedelicHealingCenter10 ай бұрын
That's really not how it works at all. You can't deliberately lower the quality of a panel. Koorui are cheap because they buy offbrand, slightly flawed B class panels.

That one seems really good. If you’re looking for something cheaper, I’d also recommend the Acer SB242Y EBI. It’s a 24” IPS monitor that runs at 100 Hz and costs like $80. It’s an incredible deal.

@saquial Жыл бұрын
@@DIEGO-sl7cs Yeah, 100 Hz it's a good middle point, since higher refresh rates have diminishing returns. You're free to go for 144 Hz, but most of the time I'd say it's not even worth it.

@@DIEGO-sl7cs Yeah, it does. Current gen consoles work at up to 120 FPS, which is fine for 100 Hz since it leaves wiggle room for the frame rate to drop without screen tearing.

You can save some money with these no name brands, but really when there is a sale going on you can cop a name brand, like Acer or MSI for a great price

Man, I hate it when people say its a budget or its a cheap monitor. Just say its a monitor for not competitive gaming.. Not many people our age are into that type of stuff.. I am definitely not into that.

44 Seconds into the video. That monitor looks relatively similar outer front panel with my 32" Samsung Odyssey G55A 165Hz monitor. I'm still happy I nabbed it up at $199.99 at the end of August 2024 as it is going for $309.93 today. I'll probably buy two of those cheaper variants as side monitors. 🤔

You make a good reviews. In my country the price of Msi G2412, Asus tuf VG249Q and AOC 24G2SP is around $180-196. Which one is better? Koorui costs approximately $155. I want to wait for 11.11 or New Year’s sales, and I’ll take what will be optimal in terms of price-quality ratio.

Ive got two AOC monitors, they are both great, 144hz 24g2 (1080p IPS) and a 144hz CQ27 (curved 1440p VA). The 24g2 you have to turn the brightness down on.. Whites will annihilate your eyes.

Watching this video with a monitor that has a thick band of racing stripes on the left side of the screen, your video make it so much easier to research rather than trying to read text through thick racing stripes across the monitor.
