The 7500F isn't available in the states sadly. But if its available in your region and the price is lower than the 7600 or 7600X that's a good option.
@Micromation3 ай бұрын
If you can get it discounted on AliExpress, 7500F will be like $50 cheaper. Performance-wise these are identical. F doesn't have iGPU but it's only useful if your GPU suddenly dies and you still wanna read your emails and maybe make simple power point presentation for work... if you're on a very tight budget and every $ counts, suffering couple of weeks shipping time and have pretty much no warranty to speak of (it's not like CPUs are actually prone to dying, in the last 30 years I've only ever had one die on me partially and it was due to my negligence not noticing AIO pump kicked the bucket) is a small price to pay IMHO. If you can add saved money to a better motherboard (something with PCIE5 support for example and strong power section for future upgrade) or maybe grab that 1 tier higher GPU or increase your ram to 32GB then even better.

I'd go with the 5600x for $114, pair it with a $90 ASRock B550 pro4, look for gigabyte or MSI if you need wifi and $68 32GB 3600 cl16($40 16GB but might as well go 32GB for extra $28). Turn on SAM/OC 4.7ghz should be good with the 6800. When you need more power in the future, the 5700X3D is currently $180. So, it'll be cheaper when it's time to upgrade.
@kelley091623 ай бұрын
So yes that combo is good, but I agree with itsatrap at the 5600X is good considering the price it's at right now. So here's my build with that. Unless you already have it then yeah, it's a good pairing... anything will be a good pairing with it. For 7900GRE specifically I'd avoid Bifrost... If it's anything like the Bifrost on my A770 then it's gonna be loud and not very good at cooling the card at more bearable decibels... Luckily AsRock makes Steel Legend and Phantom Gaming which are also cheap variants of that card.

Hello, I had a question about DDR5 RAM, i recently watched your RAM video and i had a question on your thoughts. I have an intel i7 13 gen and 4080 super, and im looking to expand into DDR5 as i have DDR4 now. I use my pc for gaming and streaming as well as business(3d modeling and music production) I was wondering if it was better to get a 64gb ram kit (2x32gb) 6400 cl 32 or two 32gb ram kits (4x16gb) 6400 cl 32 i know about the compatibility and you and other recommend just 2 sticks of ram for the intel 13 gen for gaming, but also i seen stuff about you can do dual-channeling for over all better performance, which i know will still mean my cpu will running slower. So what would you recommend for a pc the does both gaming and productivity tasks? I'm just a little conflicted, the price isnt really a factor as one option is only something around $40 more
@kelley091622 ай бұрын
2 sticks is better. Just note though if moving from DDR4 to DDR5 that also means getting a new Motherboard.

On that Montech XR, you mention that it has two intake fans, but that would imply that those have to be reverse-blade fans with the orientation that they’re pictured. Do you know if they are in fact reverse fans as intake?

Thank you for your advice. I've just completed my first build in 8 years. Ryzen 7800x3d, 7900 GRE, MSI tomahawk b650, Corsair 5000d airflow. I ran into a problem where the AIO radiator was blocking the CPU power sockets on the mobo so I have been forced to run the rad as Intake. However I have 3 extra fans in the side of the 5000D for intake. With 3 on top and 1 rear for extract. It's a full blackout build with no RGB

Hello, I bought my first gaming pc about 6 months ago and am looking at upgrading it. Right now I have a ASRock B660M-C Motherboard, NVidia RTX 3060, I5-12400F 12 Gen CPU, 32 gig ram and I've already purchased a 1000w power supply to install. Any suggestions on which CPU and GPU would play well with one another and not have any bottlenecking happen? Thank you for your help.
@kelley091622 ай бұрын
So for the GPU the 6800 or 7700XT would be good. Unfortunately there isn't much upgrade CPU wise. All the 13th and 14th Gen K CPUs have issues right now. Plus K CPUs go better with Z Series Motherboards anyway.

How does the AMD 6800 compare vs the newer 7700XT with FSR and newer technologies, quality and frame rate boosts using them. 6800 beats 7700XT at stock barely, but with FSR does the Newer 7700XT have some feature that then allows it to be % more ahead of 6800 using the same FSR version?

From the $750 build, which GPU is better suited? 6800 for $349.99 or 7700 XT for $399.99? Just for gaming and thinking long term, considering Polaris is no longer supported by AMD (judging by the drivers)
