I'm building a very similar PC this weekend. Ryzen 5 7600 (went with 65w proc as i want to reduce any heat I can, as PC is under my desk) and it performs very close to 7600x. 4070super (I can't fine a 7900xt in the brand I want for a decent price, Asus wants $800), the 4070 super is already a few gens more than the 2070 I have so I will be happy. MSI Mag Tomahawk B650. I'm using a Noctua 12s redux for a cooler. Corsair Vengence 5600 (I need to run 64gb so the 5600 was a little cheaper). NVME 2TB WD SN850x. Corsair 750e power supply.

So fitting the fastest gpu you could get in there was a must priority. Hello Jason, i am not sure if you will ever get to see this. But Hay. I am looking for an advice to maintain my current PC state of good performance and zero noise yet I want to upgrade from ddr4 to ddr5. Current build and details to follow, eager to hea... Ehum, read back from you. MBD: B660-a asus rog wifi (wifi is essential) CPU: 12700k (bought on discount-originally had 12100f) GPU: 3080 10ram (bought second hand- originally had 3060 ti) ventus msi PSU: 850vs corsair Ram : vengeance 32gb16x16 not sure 3600 or 3200 cl16 or 18 its one of them and with rgb (not a big fam of rgb but it was on discount made it cheaper then the non rgb one, so why not) Case is nx800 from antec... Now i made this pc almost zero noise by doing the following : GPU undervolt to 1800 and fans locked between 60-70% All original case fans were replaced (200mmx2 and 140mmx1) by more quiet ones. also a fan added and used as exhaust 120mm all but exhaust locked to 50%, oh the 200m i think 90%, they are super quiet...even at that speed. To be clear, i don't measure sound by using any equipment. I just turn off ac and listen to the fans while ramp up and say ok, this is the most acceptable noise and lock. (Using xfan app, or something like that) Also, i play everything but i sacrifice fps(usually 82 is my aim as my monitor is 165 LG but can go down to 60 if i have to) for noise and sweet graphics(i never go ultra here, same technique for noise, i stop where i see it's most beautiful for my taste) can't care for super fps for competition, old school but u do like smoothness of picture flow... Finally, and sorry for the long chat,,, is ddr5 even worth it in my case? Will force me to change MBD aswell, maybe PSU. But any advice is cool for me, i like to upgrade slowly but surely as long as i get the results i am looking for, so i am open to any ideas... Keep up the good work jason

How much better is a gen 4x4 nvme ssd over a 3x4 nvme ? Im asking because I played FF16's demo last week, the game was stuttering and I though maybe my build couldn't handle it, It was so bad even at 1600x900, as soon as I figured that it was maybe my sata ssd I transfered the game on my 3x4 nvme and it ran fine, so was wonsering if a 4x4 would boos the performance of the game by a much better margin ?

Regarding the 1500$ build I think he could get a better MB for less: # ASRock B650 Steel Legend WiFi or GIGABYTE B650 AORUS Elite AX cost about 180$ and offer better features. # For the GPU I've seen the XFX Black version of the 7900 XT in Amazon for 664$ just which seems like a great deal. # For the PSU, I've seen the Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 for 95$ which looks good but I don't know if the 2024 version is as good as the older model which was recommended. There is also the Seasonic Focus GM-850 850W for 100$ which looks pretty good (despite being an older model).
