Thanks Richard! Not many aussies are lucky enough to have a foot in the door with exploration and mining companies like I fortunately have. Which means, without the Aussies spending ridiculous money on leases, bonds, and work permits they're restricted to using a hammer and chisel or pick and shovel to extract ore on a simple miners right. The rules and regulations here are suffocating to say the least.

You mustn't: use digging equipment besides non-mechanical hand tools use explosives remove or damage trees or shrubs disturb any Aboriginal places or objects , or disturb any historic place or object, or archaeological site or relic. To care for the environment when prospecting: drive only on public tracks and roads park only on the roadside avoid disturbing plants and grasses too much fix things before you leave, i.e. fill in holes, pick up your rubbish

@TheGoldmansChannel Жыл бұрын
I do switch out the container towards the end and slowly re-run it over the table. I do the same with the port 2 cons. Tricky to do though, too much concentrates effect how the whole table works and flow needs to be adjusted. Best having those cons diluted throughout the given amount of material. I think I'm going to incorporate the auto panner into the system to process both 1 and 2 ports. Catch the gold and still keep the smeltable cons separate. That would be fantastic.

What you need to know A Victorian miner's right lets you prospect and fossick for gold, gemstones and other minerals in Victoria: where you've got permission on Crown or private land where it's allowed using only hand tools, like metal detectors, pans and sluices. You must have your miner's right with you when prospecting and show it if asked by an inspector. You even need a miner's right for prospecting on your own land. Note: children under 18 don't need a miner's right when they're with you, as long as you have yours. For more information, contact Earth Resources Regulation .

Two good reasons why you shouldn't tie your power cords togwther like that. Stress on conductors. Also, if the tool becomes live, you cant just pull it to unplug it.
@TheGoldmansChannel Жыл бұрын
True and true Geoff. But I believe I'm more likely to stress the conductors (or the pins at least) with a loose high resistance connection and the generating set has an RCD on it if there is any ground fault that should protect me in the case of a conductor earth fault. 😁

@TheGoldmansChannel Жыл бұрын
Thanks Newtimer! I haven't had any enquiries from mines dept yet, but im sure it won't be long until some jealous fellow dobs me in, assuming I'm doing the wrong thing. Most of my work is conducted on active mining leases for different companies, they've already paid the fortune for the right to mine within their boundaries and have jumped through all the required paper work hoops to do it properly. All I need from them is written permission and I'm safe to use whichever machinery or methods they have gotten approved with the work permits. I also do my own exploratory work on private property, that does not allow me to use the jackhammer as far as I'm aware, but bloody hell. If you can't use a jack hammer on your own land, where can you? 😆. So I'm mostly covered legally.

As a beginner who is just getting interested in this as a hobby, I found this to be incredibly informative. I love your set up by the way. I notice that you seem to have a lot more space on your shaker table to the left that didn't see any material being run on it. Is this by design, and if so, for what purpose or reason?
@TheGoldmansChannel Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the great feedback and for watching Jimmy! That free space on the table is by design, different densities of material will only make it so far along the table before being washed off, by the time it gets close to that left side we only want the gold and sulphides to be present. So in that respect it's doing its job well. On that more open section of table the water flow is also much lower, allowing the materiel that made it that far to be washed over very carefully so we don't blow any gold away. The table still isn't perfect, but it's getting really close now. Water flow still needs to be tinkered with.

How much material would be considered a production run for your set up
@TheGoldmansChannel Жыл бұрын
I would consider processing a ton per day as being production mining. That would be a solid 10-12hr run with my equipment. Most I've done in a day was about 550kg though. Once I've got the hopper and auto feed connected up, that will be a much easier task. Fill the hopper with jaw crushed materiel and let it all run on its own.
