It is easy to move through the video if there are parts you want to skip. Doing spiral facets are fairly easy. You just do it before the bowl is entirely widened out. You see lots of those. Seeing the straight ones as this one is, is not something you see often.

Whatever, I know what has presidence, like my "pottery tap & die" video demo and procedure paper is a utility patent for the tool I use to form the cap or female theads. And utility patent for the wood tap cutter and rubber stamp. Plus I can spring-wire hour glass or inside out "C" fluts and expand so thinly the pots are translucent and look sweet backlit with 60Watt light bulb. Just saying that because Hsin is a toilsome surf and Lord Stanley's Cup mimics this bowl, a trophy of chioce. TJM

Thank you for this beautiful and highly skilled demonstration! May I ask how many pounds of clay were used to throw this 10inch wide by 8 inch high bowl? Since you mentioned it is a porcelain clay body, do you expect 17% shrinkage after firing? Also which number of your trim tools is this one?

I forgot how many Lbs was this one but my guess is around 4-5. The shrinkage rate for my porcelain is around 12%. Please watch my recent video for the clay body test results.

If you can shorten your video it would be good. Time lapse filming might help too. And your green work is getting pretty intense, sometimes I just leave the swirl instead of ribbing out because it's easier to control your fingers than a tool. If you could make your facets spyrol it would be nice and lightly cutting and pulling the rim off then refining is sweet if you do it right. Overall a successful demo of major importance. Thank you!
