i think thats just an illusion. it looks still great because its not hard for racing games to look decent. all you focus on is the road and the car. you dont see much of the enviorment that looks bad because you just dont focus on it while playing. and you are fast past low detail things and the blur lets them look good

Just remember this is running at way higher resolution than normal. TG is running this at 8x normal resolution (roughly 2880p) in a ps2 emulator so it will appear way sharper than even most modern games do

This area is in Italy and it's called Amalfi now as about the track i think it's something like monde carlo it's a public road track i mean modified from gran turismo for the needs of the game in other words i mean it's a real road but not used as a race track : But correct me if i'm wrong i really would like to know the truth it's a fantastic for summer vacations place tho :-)

@@Badassvidsz better to visit in autumn or spring. The place is small and can be extremely overcrowded and overpriced aswell in summer. Theres only a road to enter or exit the place by car and thats it. The place is very particular and small and its filled with very narrow paths that go thru the village, like a maze. However there are many place that worth take a look in the nearby areas as much or even more than amalfi.

I was blown away seeing GT3 for the first time and I even bought PS2 just to play this game in 2001. Graphics in GT4 was pretty much the same and in 2005 there were already better looking racing games like PGR2 on xbox. In PGR2 whole car interior was rendered in all cars (GT4 car models have dark windows for a reason), there were dynamic shadows and shaders everywhere. But I still like how polyphony used PS2 hardware resources in GT3-4, these games can look photorealistic at times and I still like to play them from time to time.

minners71 yeah. I’m sure too. Cause if you’re actually watching the video, you should take a look at the throttle and brake bar at left side. It’s either 0% or 100% output. If he did use the controller, during mid-corners it would have been 50% braking or throttle. While sharp corners it would have been 10-25%. Not *0 100 0 100 0 100*

​@@jojodivas9211 Are you sure because on PS2 accelerate was the "X" button and which is also either 0 or 100. Its only on the console generation after with triggers on controllers that allowed for analogue control of the throttle/brakes. But yeah still could be using arrows I guess

Loved using the JGTC cars on GT4, me and my brother would have 2 player races round Opera Paris, me in the Castrol Supra, my bro in the Denso Supra. So many hours pounding that track in those cars...haven't played GT4 for something like 10 years but I feel I could set up my PS2, start this game back up and still remember every braking point and apex of that track. For me, this was the best GT game. And for a game released in 2005, it still looks good today.

My super Nintendo that I grew up on broke so did my ps1 and the gwmecubes wii's and Gameboy and I have no clue what happened to the games sadly. My original Xbox is still working flawlessly though so is my ps3 slim. Games only cost a few bucks each too which is a plus. My Nintendo DS works great too original battery screens still in great shape. I got it the Christmas the DS came out. I got asphalt urban gt with it and I played that game all the time. I still play it every now and then and wow the graphics are awful. Its still nostalgic though and I'm surprised its still working so well because it was used hard.

@@diiosixx i think you need glases. This game runs at way higher res than normal games. Look it in 480p that is the original res but doe to many enhancements from the emulator it is still better than the original. GT Sport in this resolution (2880p) and all the efects would be fsk18 car porn

The graphics of this game is really ahead of its time the resolution is because of the time (2004) so it's not the game's fault. Also the emulator doesn't make the graphics look better. It looks better in the emulator because of the resolution. I mean if you play the game in the emulator at 480p resolution (same as ps2) it'll look the same

Well they hold up really well but from very upclose model detail isnt that great cars dont have interiors for a reason(and those which do are incredibly blocky/ or pixelated) But overall it looks realistic, Payback doesnt it's just "effectastic" and ofc it is detailed but that doesnt mean realism. Aside of that NFS series as of late its more about them being horrid piece of shit to play with their damned handling and physics of Criterion's doing that HAS to go at this point. But that is offtopic so yeah....
