Eventually, I made a reasonable choice. But it was a build that I personally really liked. What's special and good about it is that this DIY electric board is the only one in the world and built for me only. If any of the subscribers are planning a DIY, I hope you will find some useful information during the build process.

That may prove a bit tricky. Smaller trucks could risk wheelbite, might have to add riser pads or cut into the nose/tail to compensate. As for the deck itself, shortest popsicle deck I could find is 29 inches. You could, again, cut the nose and tail down but then you'll lose some of that low profile you get from the concave. Point is: it's possible, but there are compromises involved
@redmask13562 жыл бұрын
@@guitarwi3rdo thanks! But i was thinking of a configuration of the same kinda lenght, but less wide, ive never really done much e skating so I don’t know the compromises that come with it. Im pretty curious abt the reason that the trucks are so wide

Cool looking board. By the way for 10S you really need to be using a higher kv motor (220-260kv) or run 12S. Low kv and low voltage is a bad combo. Also motor amps should be much higher, maybe 80A for those motors, then just restrict battery amps to maintain cooling and battery discharge current if needed ;)
@mayeurkim2 жыл бұрын
Max motor must be set as specs of the motor. Battery current as the continue battery discharge (so in this case with 2 parallel connected batteries --> 60 Amps (2*30amp))
@liam_evangelista2 жыл бұрын
@@mayeurkim this is not true. The motor current is rated by continuous battery current not phase amps. You can set phase amps as high as you want basically. I'm running 165 phase amps on 12S with 6485 motors and its awesome
@mayeurkim2 жыл бұрын
@@liam_evangelista it is pretty simple the max power of your board is defined by the discharge current of your battery and voltage. So in this case around 2700watt (60a*44.4v). The motors can have higher discharge but cannot have more power then 2700watt. For example if your motors are together 150amps, then till 18v (2700w/150a) they can have full discharge current but that lowers to 60amp at their highest speed/voltage.
@liam_evangelista2 жыл бұрын
@@mayeurkim that is true, however max motor amps can be set as high as you like as long as the vesc can handle it, for example 200A, but if you set 60 battery amps then the current coming from the battery will never exceed 60A, but the board will feel very punchy at low speeds. Motor amps is always higher because the controller uses pulse width modulation to reduce the effective voltage to the motor, so at low speeds even though the motor current might reach 100A, the voltage could be only 50% of battery voltage so for example: 100 motor amps @ 50% duty (say 21V) is 100A x 21V = 2100W then divide that by the actual battery voltage 42V gives you 50 amps on the battery side. I hope this makes sense. I have a lot of experience with this
@mayeurkim2 жыл бұрын
@@liam_evangelista I have build also a lot of boards. I never exceed the motor Amps that are given by the manufacturer. I think when those motors are struggling and they go over their current limits, there is chance the coils could be burned. They will definitely get pretty hot when amp settings are set higher.
