Fabrics and paper are fun. Some keep their colour, some go darker as wet, some go transparent and some patterned ones vary depending on the print as the pattern goes. great fun to test out

Good question, it's just glue dots :) I guess you could use regular glue but the glue dots are just so easy and mess free :)

I'd imagine it might be more controlled if you did the resin in layers and maybe laminated the paper ones if you don't want them to absorb the resin. However, they are lovely just the way they are.

How did you find a heart that matched the shape so perfectly? I know how to size up or down but the mere are a million different heart shapes.

I created it in Cricut Design space, then shrank it slightly so it would fit just inside. The template is in my design space folder and the link is in the video info so you can grab a copy. I think Cricut are charging 99p for it, though I'm not adding a cut on top as I wanted to give to away free

Lol well the blue one was terrible up close. The foil - I dtir it in, burnish it onto the m ould, chuck it in and leave it - you get different effects whatever you do. It's gilding flakes yet I rarely actually gild haha. depends what effect you're after, isn't it good to know there are so many alternatives. It's worth having a play

I use all sorts of paper in resin. Sometimes you seal it first, but often I don't. in this video I use all sorts from my papercraft stash, and didn't seal it. There's regular paper, rice paper, origami paper - I've also used photo paper and regular printer paper

Yes of course. I stand them upside down till as much as possible runs out, then clean them with Wonder Wipes. Alcohol sprayed onto kitchen paper works well too. Then leave them a couple of days before reusing too in case there's any residue still in there - it'll go hard so you can use the pot again

i make something similar (?) to these that a sewn. they are called pocket prayer hearts. They have little crosses sewn into the cemter of 2 pieces of cloth and in the front of the heart a pocket is made where a pocket is made with a prayer is placed with a ribbon coming from the V of the heart. I've never actually worked with resin but have always wanted to and a small project like this seems like a geat way to break myself in. And they are ridicoulously cute and beautiful! i have a couple of questions though. Can these be made into any size? In the video they looked a little large=heavy to be put into a pocket. Also can a hole be drilled into them so that they can be made into say a keychain or zipper (for backpacks ) fobs?

That sounds lovely in fabric. These are really light, people use that mould to make large pendants, key chains, fronts for Valentines cards, zipper or handbag dangles, all sorts of things

depending on what cricut you have, there may be a setting for washi tape. it works well for thinner vinyls and papers.

I might have missed it, but did you put anything on the hearts, like modpodge or laminated?

no, just let the resin semi cure and slapped the paper etc on the back then resin on the back. you;ll see how with some of then the resin has soaked in and changed the colour of the paper and some did not. You can laminate or modpodge if you want of course, but none of these were laminated :)
