WOW- Thank you for this video. I'm 70 yr. old young lady going to Lowes to purchase this saw today. I have blood weeds that are like small trees that some are almost 3" and they've grown like they are on steroids and I lost my mower and everything in the flood and I've been using an axe and just getting no where. I can't thank you enough for this..and you know what else- I have a huge pile of bricks that have been sitting there for 20 years- I'm gonna make a fireplace just like yours. I LOVE it. God Bless you Hon.

I've owned one of these for over a year now. Yeah, remove the guard, it is just in the way. So, yeah, I also hot glued the trigger lock-out open, more useless junk to protect the marketer and manufacturer from idiots. I bought it and built a hanger that I mounted on the ROPS to carry on my tractor to cut vines and limbs that get in the way while clearing brush and trees. The tensioner spring is genius and makes tensioning the chain nearly effortless. I have felled and bucked 12 inch trees with mine, in fact I didn't even crank one of my gas saws for several months after I hung this little gem on the tractor. And the chain held the factory edge for a lot longer than I expected, that was a huge surprise. It is really handy for pruning trees and sawing up limbs that drop in the yard into manageable sized pieces, and it handles most anything I cut easily as long as I don't crowd it. I inherited the kobalt ⅜ and ½ inch impacts from my son so I already had 3 of their 4ah batteries and a charger so I have spares to carry with me to extend the ammount of cutting I can do. I chose the right angle drill as my freebie but have since bought the angle grinder. I have been well pleased with them all.

Im a head cashier at Lowe's and literally was stopped yesterday by a customer looking at this exact deal. He didn't believe it was really a BOGO. He ended up with the saw and oscillating tool

I have the Milwaukee M12 fuel baby chain saw. Lol, you just walk around looking for something to cut. I really like the convenience of them for keeping all the trees trimmed up. You got that one at a great price, congratulations.

I love my Kobalt Pole Chainsaw - 80-volt - 5-AH battery - 10" Bar - 6 ft / 8ft foot Pole Chainsaw. No electric cord. I've been using Oregon Bars and Chains. I have been using it for more than 3 years now. It works great on my southeast Louisiana farm clearing property that a hurricane went through and trashed all the trees throughout the woods of our 18-acre farm. I carry it all over in our woods and the battery lasts a long time. Today I'll be cutting a 6-inch limb off of a tree out front. I am also using (2) Kobalt 80 volt 18" Bar Chainsaws and using (2) 5 AH Batteries. Cuts huge logs great. The chainsaw first one wound up in a puddle and stopped working but after a couple of weeks and it had dried out, it started working again. For oil, I like to use Ryobi Bar and chain oil. We have cut 20"+_ logs and works like a charm. And NO more pulling and pulling to start a gas-powered chainsaw.

I got this chainsaw and right angle impact as free gift. Been wanting wanting a pruning chainsaw and a right angle impact for awhile now. Milwaukee was to expensive even for the m12 stuff. Makita so expensive and slow to bring their good tools to the US. Rigid didn't really have any good deals for me to get into their lineup. This deal is to good to pass up, you get 2 great tools battery and charger for $149. These are my first Kobalt power tools and their great. I own Ryobi, Makita, Dewalt, Milwaukee and now Kobalt.

I see online they have more free tools than in store, i bought the right angle impact wrench bare tool for $141 in March on my Lowes card. For $146 I get the saw, battery, charger and my impact wrench. I bought the BOGO and when i go back to work im gonna return my impact wrench so for $4 more i get the chainsaw and battery

i just use a small reciprocating saw. i stick the blade right into the ground to cut roots below dirt level. Im sure these small chain saws are good for many things but i have too many tools already.

The reason for the guard is a lack of a chain break, removing it removes that safety feature and not recommended. It's a baby chainsaw so a full grown male will have little trouble controlling it one handed, but feeble grandma might get a wicked surprise when it over powers her.

For the viewers - FYI - All saws perform tons better on live wood. Thus expect cut to be quieter and faster on live wood.

It’s a piece of junk. I broke two of them already, just pruning small branches. The bar tensioning clip is flimsy and breaks quickly
