Man you guys have evolutionized the concept of this craftsmanship. I have built a tiny bass boat off watching your videos. It might have taken me 2 years due to kids and weather but I couldn't have done it without your videos or inspiration. Thank you

Awesome build. I've watched dozens of TBN Builds. Learn something every time. Have you ever considered doing a boat trailer ??? Sounds like a dumb question, but if you can't get it to the water, should hv built A picnic table...any thoughts. Keep it up, awesome work

I have several videos out on trailers.

Sorry I realize this is an older video. But I can’t find where you mentioned how to fasten the framing to the wooden sub-floor. Looks like maybe rivets? Since you drilled holes in the already resin’d sub-floor, how did you ensure water couldn’t penetrate the framing rivets into that sub-floor?

How do you make sure your not going over the weight capacity of the boat when you do these modifications? Iv got a 14' Starcraft rated at 800 lb and would like to restore/ mod it but how much actual weight can I add without running into trouble? Thanks for the videos! Great inspiration 👏
@TinyBoatNation Жыл бұрын
800 pounds does exceptionally high weight rating for a boat. You can wear everything or just know the weight of everything you’re putting in you can also just make sure you try to use a max efficiency model using the lightest stuff. You want to go light in the 14 foot boat because there’s only so much horsepower you can run in a boat that small.

Does the floatation foam in the boat like that lift the hull out of the water more or is it only to keep the boat from sinking if flipped over?
@TinyBoatNation Жыл бұрын
It keeps the boat from sinking in the event of an emergency, and it also helps that ride smoother through the chop

Silly question- what's the garden hose for?
@TinyBoatNation2 жыл бұрын
It was for subfloor drainage, but I went a different direction with the deck and ended up not using them and sealing the deck on the sides.

If I was doing a wooden deck and wooden hatches should I use the tragedy of using the garden holes?

@@TinyBoatNation thanks for the input. I was looking at making myself a bigger boat that will handle the larger waters we have up here in Minnesota so was looking at their higher hp models (they have up to 50) and the amount of cash if have to shell out for lithium batts and a solar system to aid in charging. So, there goes my latest hike in the water idea that I'm gonna throw cash away into! Also, I was thinking of making a river car topper until I ran across your yak killer. I ride a wheel chair and was wondering if you guys would make custom sizing on your deck frame kits?
@shaftedoutdoors81842 жыл бұрын
Do you have dimensions of the bow plate. I have the exact same boat
@TinyBoatNation2 жыл бұрын
It was one of our kits that we put together. You determine the size of the plate when you install it. tbnation.net/collections/budget-build

I am a large guy, 6'5-365lbs. I am wanting to redo an old Tracker boat but worried about your hatch kits holding my weight. Is that something I would have to worry about? What is the weight limit on your hatches or lids?🤔

They are 1/8” and have under supports. They will hold
