Apparently there's this misconception of people calling this leitmotif "bad wolf theme" but following what RTD and Murray gold had stated, this is "The Doctor's theme" which is basically the main doctor's leitmotif, and it has been used in all of the new incarnations of the doctor on Nuwho.

@@antonydandrea nope, the 10th doctor's theme is called "the doctor forever" it was first used during the christmas special "The runaway bride" and since then it was used during the rest of the 10th doctor's era, and recently it was also used briefly on "the giggle".

I wonder if the implication here is that the 14th doctor’s screwdriver is somehow connected to the Tardis in some way, and can access things such as telemetry from her onboard sensors, for instance. That would be a great advantage 🧐🤔

Making holographic touch screens, bulletproof barriers, and levitating rocks is not something the sonic screwdriver is supposed to do. It’s just a sonic lock opener, it’s not magic…

The Sonic Screwdriver was always going to evolve and get more abilities though. That was something that was set up by River and the 10th Doctor. They had a conversation where River was asking about a red setting, and dampers that the Sonic didnt have yet, and she literally said that it would one day.

@@TheAniManga_Man sure, but this is pushing it waaay out of proportion. And making the screwdriver be able to do practically anything kinda takes the simplicity, stakes and realism out of this show. Sometimes, less is more. Like when the doctor used to just by a mad man in a box with a screwdriver… now he is the immortal “chosen one” with a magic wand.

@@PD-ws4td I get it, but I dont feel like the new abilities of the Sonic Screwdriver have pushed it too far. At its core its still a tool. The monitors help analyze the data, and the shields take time to draw and prepare so he cant just automatically create an instant barrier and easily move it. Its not like they made it a weapon like Jack's sonic gun was in The Empty Child. Plus if the whole "chosen one" thing is the timeless child try not to spoil too much for me please because i've only reached up to the start of Peter Capaldi's doctor. Ive only heard small whispers about the Timeless child and I don't want it fully spoiled.

@@TheAniManga_Man I’m not gonna spoil what happens, but I would advise against watching it. It’s considered one of the worst episodes in dr.who’s history and ruins 50+ years of built up lore. All in a single episode. A lot of people don’t consider anything that happens after twice upon a time canon.

@@PD-ws4td I probably will watch it just because I do want to see all the Doctor Who content I can, but i do appreciate the heads up. if that is true then it is a shame that the Timeless Child is so bad because I thought the 15th and 13th Doctor look like they could be pretty good

Ehhh, not a fan. I like it when the tech is so far out of our realm of comprehension that it’s borderline magical. This just drags it down to being an iPad he has to draw for himself.
