I think that this guy Edgar is a bit like Jade xu in reputation! I mean known as one of The Best but Def far from of being among The Best! Real lack of style and criativity there!

I think part of it is that this video is pretty old (2017). He hadn't fully leaned into his style at the time and I think he's found it more since then. I wouldn't go as far to say he's the "Jet Li of our times" but I think he has earned his placement alongside the other top competitors.

@@davidjones8047 yeah what I meant: reputation as one of The best but Def not one of The best...his form is Just about nandus...choreograph is not good...but 90% of People Who Wins wwc has a terrible choreo...modern days athletes are Just about nandu, pai jiao and Hammer fist lol...while judges continue giving scores like 9.85 for People Who Just do pai jiao and Hammer fist this Will never change...

@@rodrigopresotto9009 From your perspective who are "the best?" I understand the frustration of stuff like nandu being overemphasized but I don't think Edgar is any more guilty than the other people he's placed alongside.

@@davidjones8047 I like Magnus Garneij...he has The coolest form...Def one of The greatest martial artist of all time! Zhao chang jun and magnus garneij are The best ever, and after Yuan wen Qing!

@@rodrigopresotto9009 oh like all time greats? Yeah I think their style is far more captivating and orderly but I dont feel like people praise athletes like Edgar and Jade to the same level as them. It’s just they’re some of the current top competitors and people tend to talk more about people that are currently active.
