Egging on someone who is trying to come down from a flight or fight response that lasted almost a year just pushes them to stay in flight or fight. They worry about getting through the day and not about planning for anything. Deflecting, disassociating, shutting down and lashing out is pretty darn typical of assault and kidnapped victims. On top of being made out to be a liar by news medias all over the world when you have vivid memories or the abuse you endured is a whole mess of emotions to top it all off.

I absolutely despise that woman & always have. It's one thing to have news shows and even dramatize news to an extent to get people's attention. What she does goes so far beyond that. First, she's a human vampire vulture, feeding off of the misery of others- usually normal people who wake up one day, or come home from work or grocery shopping or something and discover their loved one is missing or murdered and they're suddenly in the middle of a nightmare no one can even begin to prepare for. She's peppering them with personal questions in their most vulnerable state on live TV sometimes, then SHE decides their guilt or innocence within hours, usually based on something asinine like whether they've cried enough to satisfy her or how many people they dated in high school or maybe they had the audacity to go out and eat a meal with family or be seen laughing at something someon said. Then uses her platform of network tv to broadcast her "expert" opinion to millions about why this person is guilty or innocent, often influencing community involvement in the investigation & harassment of the family.

If my kid ran away, I would STILL be in constant panic and worry because there’s still danger out there that they need guidance in. Even life in general. So yea it was messed up to not realize how easily kids can be manipulated and lured into things. Willingly or abducted, she was 100% still a missing child! Victime blaming is a major problem for victims of crimes in the states. Especially if you are a woman and the crime is sexual in nature.
@ElysetheEeveeАй бұрын
So true. There are so many cultures around the world that blame women for the things that happen to them by someone else's hand. It's gross. You'd think with how "elevated" the US is, we'd be doing better about that. Nope. All the incels here just make excuses like, "they're all just crying wolf, making uo stories and is US who gets screwed over," or "its easy for a women to fake a report about SA." Like, nobody's denying women can't be monsters, too. The vast majority of these cases aren't faked, though, and believe they are as a rule is just so backwards. You'd think if people really believed these victims weren't behaving like victims do, allegedly, they take it upon themselves to figure out a way to stop the process of making victims in the first place. Nope to that, too. People just want to speculate and pat themselves on the back for "figuring it out" in their own minds. This country is seriously sick. So much wrong.

False accusations are the problem. Lies. Fabrications. I don't personally know any real assault victims, but I can tell you a dozen stories where a woman made up accusations and the man suffered. I'm one of them. I've been accused MULTIPLE times. It is always in retaliation against me because I started a problem over something, never just out of the blue. I slept with an eighteen year old when I was thirty-six. She had two babies at the time, having been pregnant at age fifteen. I thought to myself that this was going to be super easy as pie to sleep with this girl. She was eighteen with two babies from two different fathers. Nothing I just said is illegal. When I met her, I was already sleeping with her aunt, but the aunt left town for a couple months to be with her baby's father. The niece called me every single day to smoke my weed with her. I went there every day to hang out. We ended up sleeping together. She isn't that attractive. She told me to keep our relationship a secret because she was embarrassed. She didn't want her aunt or friends to know. One Friday, I dropped her babies off with their separate fathers. One was forty minutes away. I drove them all over the place with the expectation that we were going to be spending the night together after I dropped the kids off. Her friend came by the house and she said they were going to the store and will be right back. I waited and I waited. She was gone a very long time for a store that is right up the street. I called her phone and there was no answer. She did NOT come back. She ditched me for her friend. I kept the baby seat that she left behind in my car. Livid, I called her aunt and revealed to her the secret that I had been sleeping with her niece. I figured that would start a confrontation between the two women and I would have my revenge. The aunt confronted the niece about it. The niece said that it was non-consensual and that I touched her in her sleep, which is false. The aunt confronted me afterwards and believed her niece's lies, which is nonsensical. Why would I come forward with the information before her if it wasn't consensual? The criminal isn't the one who reports their crime, the victim does. The niece never even mentioned it until I said something first. If she was a victim, she would've came forward way before I did. It's common sense. They sent thugs to attack me and I scared them off. I refused to return the baby seat she left in my car. I threw it in a dumpster. There were no charges or police involved, only criminals who threatened violence. I ended up making amends with the women, but we are not friends. People in their circles still think of me as a predator. The first time I was accused was almost IDENTICAL. I had been sleeping with my friend's girlfriend behind his back and I felt guilty. I have a conscience. The girl and I had a falling out, so I exposed the secrets and lies to her boyfriend. Same as the other story, she says to him that it wasn't consensual. She tells him that I forced myself on her. He believed her and they stayed together, having a son eventually. The two spread rumors about me for a decade. No confrontation at all. Ten years later, she asks me out on Facebook and I date her. She has a son with the ex-boyfriend and she has gained weight, but she gives me a free car. The ex was perplexed why she would date me and give me a car. He assumed I was this monster she painted me as. I recorded our phone conversations and got her to admit she had lied about me all those years. I still have the recording. We dated until I walked in on her cheating on me. I obviously kept the car. She is a tramp.
