The whole card scene is not for new comers anymore, it’s been turned into a cash grab by the big hitters out there with all the money, no kids can get into collecting anymore because the focus is all on resale and now the prices have sky rocketed and I don’t see it even worth it anymore :( love it but the focus is so out of focus now I can’t see straight so I won’t even look lol

in my experience you get better bang for your buck buying singles you actually want on ebay. Buying boxes rn is ridiculous $$$ for no guaranteed return.

Not to make the public feel bad but I got a hard signed RRSOTT Mcdavid in a hobby box of 19/20 SP Authentic. It was the 1st big/high priced purchase. And since then I’ve been eager to see what else I could get in another box. But after watching Videos like these it just makes me realize the lucky/randomness of it all. Also anyone have a price on the card. I have can’t seem to find many comparisons online.

We should start a rebellion and make our own hobby boxes. Create them out of our own cards in our collections and sell them to each other at fair prices. Basically what people are doing with mystery packs. Way better chances at hits if people do it honestly. And it’s a constant cycle funding ourselves. Is that nuts? Am I f*cking insane here? All hypothetical but I’d be pretty hyped to open a Zeeree/Silver Zero/Fulton Cards/ Red Bulls Cards/ KeisermanCCG hobby box 🤪 Also, great vid as always Z. Always a huge gamble with 15/16 products. There is a certain box that you picked up of 15/16 that I am hoping you hit a Connor in. If it's any consolation, I haven't hit any of the big rookies at all in the past 6 years. Actually the only really good rookie I have hit is the Pastrnak FWA in the past 15 years. Keep your head up and hopefully you will hit something big in the next box.

I've been in love with SPx since Cobain's body was still warm. But, it's like 2% odds at the McD. I'm still considering it just because I have never opened it. Cobain's just getting colder, and 15/16 SPx is now like CAD $700. Question though. Is the McD a redemption?? I feel like I read that somewhere. (PS. I don't mind DF's game. Leafs could use a 6'4" truck like that come playoffs.)

But honestly the risk is always there in opening product, old or new. I can't bring myself to buy a $900 box of Optic FB when you most likely will pull a single $5 Auto. As always though, the chase to hit a big name is always there. I feel your pain but as collectors we do understand the risk even though it doesn't lessen the sting. Keep up the great content

I've bought around 40-50 2015 hobby boxes last 12-18 months. I've got zero mcdavid autos I'm convinced every loose box have been personal cases and once they hit their mcdavid auto they sell off the rest of the dud case... Unless it's a hot case of multiple mcdavids or a numbered non auto Connor you are dead on arrival
