#15 3rd Function Kit a on 2038r

Hello KZbin! Thanks for stopping by my channel. Hopefully its not your first nor your last time. In this video I show how to install a WR Long 3rd function kit onto my MY2020 John Deere 2038r. This will be the same for any MY2017 and newer John Deere 2032r and 2038r tractors. I have seen so many people online asking about this kit and how it was done. I started this video in June 2020 when the tractor had 3 hours one it. Then I got busy using the tractor with the business and didn’t get back around to finishing the video till late October 20202 and I had 103hrs on the machine so in parts of the video you will see that its all dirty and not show room shiny anymore. Is this a diverter, or can the 3rd function be used at the same time as the other function loader functions

Good video. I know this video is a little dated, but can you run dual rear SCV’s on the 2038R with this kit? I’m buying a 2032, and the salesman is not able to explain it to me. I am considering this kit vs. a diverter, but want to have two available hydraulic circuits in back for top and tilt.

Yes when you order it just tell them you have the dual rear SCV and they will provide with the correct pieces to connect it and all will work. Thanks for watching!

Great job! I'd love to have the 3rd function, but it's not available on my tractor (JD 2210). That gives me a good reason to shop for a new tractor! @@BBLandServices I'll give that a try - though I think I'd still like to get something a little bigger. I'm considering a Kioti 3510 or a RK37.

@@PurpleCollarLife bigger is always better. First tractor spring of 19’ was Kubota B2320-way to small. Second was Deere 3025e- good size just missing the HP and comfort for my all day jobs. Newest is Deere 2038r. About the same size as my 3e series but just a fuzz bigger actually and it like driving a luxury sports car.

Thanks for making this video and adding the links. I have the 2038R and bought the kit from same place. Note to others though that because I have the 270 backhoe the 56"inch hose was not long enough by about 2ft so getting a new one made tmrw.

Did you tell them that you had a back hoe on it? They should of had the right length in it for that.

@@BBLandServices i did. phoned everythingattachments today to discuss and they said because its an attachment (even though factory fitted) they dont do a hose for it so id have to measure it and get right length.🤷🏻‍♂️. i also see there is ptfe tape on some fittings which im surprised at because of the pressures, but did you use this for the elbows? i was planning on using pipe dope. sorry, this is the first time ive worked with hydraulics.

I don’t use tape nor dope. I use a liquid hydraulic thread sealer on NPT fittings. If it’s JIC or O-ring you don’t need to use a sealer.

They must have changed a few things with the 2021 2038r. Mine doesn't have 2 silver lines like yours. Mine had a black tube going to a green valve that I had to remove and hook hoses to.

I don’t have the rear SCVs. It was tricky getting them trough there.
