These were the days I was being raised even though there were one hit wonders. They still stick in my head in my mind have fun.

One adaptation of Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky emerged a few years ago at Old Trafford, Manchester United's ground: "Going on up to the spirit in the sky, That's where you'll find me when I die. And when I've died and they've laid me to rest - I'm going on the booze with Georgie Best." A rather eccentric tribute to the supremely talented player that was George Best...

Angel of the Morning - Merrilee Rush is the best of the list in my opinion.

I like two more songs on the list Bruce Channel 's Hey Baby and The Outsider's Time Won't Let Me!

@@mrfloxin Actually, The Outsiders had a second (minor) hit with "She's So Respectable". Sounds just like "Time", but still cool nonetheless. Look it up on KZbin. Bet you've heard it before.

I was born in 1964 and don't know many of these songs or groups/musical artists. But, as I got older through the years, I've heard some of these songs played on the radio or on television and became very familiar with them. It's always good to be taken back to an era where good music was treasured.

How can you not include "They're Coming to Take Me Away Again" by Napoleon IV? The only thing quirkier on the '45 was the flip side. Where the song was played BACKWARDS! Y'all missed the boat on that one.

@@nicktaylor2657 agreed. Everyone just assumes it was lyrically Morrison though. My opinion of RK is he may be the most underrated musician in rock. I read about when GM wanted to use the song in the Opel commercial. After Jim told them he forbade the song from being used he threatened to go on live TV and beat the car with a sledgehammer to the song... Robby Krieger joked in a much later date, possibly after Morrison's death, said "what if I wanted to make some money? It was my song after all..." saying it like a kid who was told by his parents he couldn' t run a lemonade stand. Absolutely priceless.

IMO, the record sleeves for the various singles were interesting to see. Does he own all the singles? If not, finding pictures of all the sleeves, either online or in someone else's collection, must have taken awhile. I'd agree that the static added to give an "old timey" look is a bit distracting. The video didn't need that.
