6’2 here 170 lbs only complaint is the limited adjustability of the seat when I go to sleep in my car on my work shifts. I’ve learned to look at the lights on the side of the traffic pole when I’m at the front. Coming from a Camry which had majority of the features that VV mentioned, I have no regrets in trading it in. I daily drive the Supra and I’ve learned to live with it.

I learned that in the Supra, staying back from the crosswalk usually gives you enough visibility to see the traffic lights.. I drive 18 wheelers and even in the tractor i can’t see the lights if there’s no cross walk and I pull up too close.

Get Bimmercode or at least look into it. It's super cheap and super easy to do. You spend over 50,000 on car but won't take 30 minute to fix things you don't like is just wack. You can fix, auto start stop, sync climate, car chimes, seat belt reminder, start in sport mode, make the display WAY brighter, turn off the warning on the head unit, and many more things. May favorite change I made is the chime when I open the door is set to a Rolls Royce door chime. Also another big change is you can change the angle of the mirror when reversing.

‘Not a real Toyota’ and ‘just another BMW’ are not faults with the car, dude. Beemers are incredibly well designed, well built and reliable cars. But they’re driven by nobheads. Now, I’m not saying that everyone who drives a BMW is a nobhead. BUT Every nobhead drives a BMW. With this car, you get all the advantages of a BMW product. But without being ‘that guy’ on the road that everyone else hates.

Only real complaints I hear. 1. Buffeting window 2. Visibility/Space (debatable, most buyers are not as tall) Everything else is just random things that you found to just complain about. People who buy this arent looking for a practical car and you're constantly looking for considering your history with BMWs which are just actual practical cars with more power.

The main issue with the speakers is surround sound, it’s usually turned on, when it’s on there’s absolutely no bass, just treble, equalizing it plus turning off surround sound makes it sound really good, I agree, most things he’s saying are easily fixable aside from the poor visibility, buffeting is a 10 dollar fix

if you get bimmer code you can code out the fake car sounds and then adjust the settings of the speakers and it will sound much better thats what i did. You can also save the auto start off on bimmer code. I also did the reverse mirror because its almost useless stock

I'm a Toyota guy, i've owned nothing but Toyota, even trucks. But I still want one. Yes it's BMW parts, but Toyota has inspected, reviewed and adjusted every single part as necessary to bring it up to Toyota standards, before putting it into their car. Toyota wouldn't just take BMWs parts and blindly put them in considering they still have a reputation to keep. The sales of an unreliable Supra would be more damaging to Toyota's reputation and would not be worth any profits they would make on it.

I dont own a Supra (I really want one though) but I have recently test drove one for the first time and I definitely agree with a lot of these for sure. Getting out of the vehicle is definitely a task LOL. And I'm a small dude (5'8 180lbs). The visibility is a bit poor..I used to own an 18' Mustang GT and for that to be such a big car, it still had PLENTY of visibility. The supra does not. Also, I definitely hate the lack of storage. As bad as I want one, I have considered possibly purchasing something else. Time will tell.

Im in the same boat. I wish they would have incorporated a bit of the gr86 interior design. It seems like the supra got all the bad bmw interior perks. Test driving it, I did not feel like I was in a 60k car. I've always wanted a supra, but I feel like I may regret trading away my 86.

Another thing for trunk by my friend's supra is, if you push the button then slap the door, the trunk will be locked by your slap lol. Also, the wireless will make the phone really hot. However, he says BMW makes it part of the reasons he bought supra. BMW is good at getting performance,.Otherwise, we can imagine Toyota will make the supra "relatively old" for that era like LFA.

I’m just under 6 foot. I get in the car backwards and roll in. Especially getting out I swing my feet around and stand up facing the trunk. Saved my neck. The seat needs to adjusted so the bolstering gives your spine proper alignment otherwise it will not be comfortable. The auto start stop doesn’t bother me but if when you are coming to a stop you throw it manual mode it won’t stop then you can shift up or throw it back it auto when you take off. Or put it in sport mode as that cancels it out too

I think this is a great review regarding what you dislike. I actually just got on the list for a Supra but I personally would never consider a car like this as a daily driver. My intentions for this car is strictly fun/weekend driving. It's cramped, as I am 6'1" and between 215-240lbs depending on my training regiment. But I think it will be livable as a toy, not a DD. Love your videos man! 👍

wireless charger is more of tender rather then a charger the apple carplay consusme quite alot battary so the wirelesss charger is kind of just there to help offset some of the load.

Lots of stuff NOBODY else addressed . This is why some folks dump the car after a year . They don't design them like they actually use them. The screen is a prime example. I live in Vegas and drove a buddy's couldn't see shit on the screen.

Such a shame that so many cars are built by committees, and they end up just not working out. And, they don't learn! So many of the problems have been in other cars over the years, but every generation of engineers ignores the failures of the past, and so, are condemned to repeat them Thank you so much for letting me know to avoid this car like the plague, your video saved me days of tracking down a supra and then being disappointed when I found one.

Will anyone “reconsider buying” a Supra because the side pockets are too small? Replace Supra with Sienna and you are correct! Perhaps minivan or family sedan reviews would be a more natural fit? I would like to see how child seats fit as that would be another consideration for the Supra demographic. I’m just giving you shit. You point out true things. I just think they are irrelevant. Remember, we think of the Supra as a BMW because it has MANY things from BMW. It’s still a Toyota branded product at the end of the day. I think the synced AC system is just something BMW didn’t give Toyota “just cause”.

I'm hoping all of these are just nit picks. I get some of them but others. Start stop, Bimer code and fix that. The trunk opening, get a stronger struts to pop the trunk open for you. Your seat, the leather is creaking not the bar. If you think your seat cand break it lol the it's not structural... meaning it's only there for the cover for the hatch. Remove it, but beware cover might not work anymore. We can see you love the car lol

I hate the screen sticking up above the dash. It is blocking visibility for short people. The cardboard rear wheel well liner looks hard to clean. No hand brake, and no stick. And sports cars are made for little people. A race car driver is not 6" tall and over 150 pounds. Its like a fat horse jockey complaining about his horse hearing you tall guys complain.

I've owned my Mark V supra over a year no and i would agree with the lack of trunk button and low slung windshield gets old. I'm 5'7 so the seat thing don't bother me and the sync button either. You can find better settings for the sound system and fixes for the sub box to get more bass.. I've done both and completely changes the sound and you have some actual base. Toyota's aren't know for great sound systems so I'm gonna guess this was on them not bmw. Sucks you have to alter it to make it have better sound but i see that no different than adding an exhaust. Doing some work to make sound better. The lack of storage thing doesn't bother me either cause i bought a small sports car it was just expected to have crappy storage. Sync button don't matter either cause your in a small car and AC works great and will have the small cabin cool extremely fast. I'm in Florida also and Sync button has never been something It needs IMO. Buffeting can be fixed cheap $9 or expensive $150, I've done both and more expensive fixes work better and eliminate the buffeting completely. I'm Sure your nitpicking for the video and you do great content. I Love my Supra never owned a Toyota or wanted one until BMW made it lol. Its such a great sports car that can do everything. Oh get the ECU unlocked and put a E50 Flex fuel tune on it and you wont care about the lack of storage or sync button. Great Video!!!

OBD Link CX fixed the dim screen. Really bright now. Also sets it to start in sport, and Auto start in off position. I love the quirky-ness of my '21'. It’s a sports car, not a sedan, for storing things. Maybe you should have test driven it first?

Just make sure you fit right. If you're over six feet tall or over 250lbs you might find it a little too tight while the supra is more forgiving of a few extra pounds.
