Fabric: 60cmx20cm 60cmx2,5cm 60cmx2,5cm
Needle: Number 8
Thread: Normal thread for sewing machine
-----------------------
Hope that this video can help you better understand techniques I have used on DinLife.
And for beginners: You can follow these steps to start learning how to sew. For me, these are all the basics of sewing:
1. Preparing clothing.....00:06 (The cloth used in this video is from an old shirt - Cutting size: 60cmx20cm 60cmx2,5cm 60cmx2,5cm)
2. The first way of needle threading
(Single thread, double-thread knot)…..00:30
3. Tie a knot…..00:37 05:05
4. Running stitch…..00:46 05:21
5. Finish the stitches…..01:16 03:49 04:32
6. The second way of needle threading
(Double thread, double-thread knot)…..01:46
6.1 When the stitching is faulty…..02:30
6.2 When the thread is short…..02:58
7. Hide the knots…..02:14 03:19 04:12 05:13
8. Back stitch…..02:24 03:37
9. Hide the thread tail…..02:50 03:53
10. Blanket stitch…..04:12
11. The third way of needle threading
(Double thread, four-thread knot)…..04:59
12. Invisible stitch (2 turns)…..05:40
13. Fold the fabric string…..06:21
14. Invisible stitch (1 turn)…..06:34
15. Stringing drawstring bag…..07:18

I'm so glad I found this video. Took me 2.5 weeks weeks of watching handsewn content and I found this video on a reddit post. I tried to many ways of phrasing hand sew basic but yt search engine keep giving me the same videos, videos not related I've seen before or machine sewing.

I learned to sew when I was little and now a lot of people arround me are constantly saying "You have to sew that with a sewing machine" And you are the one that has inspired me to continue without it, because it's the way I enjoy most. Obviously I don't sew as good as you, but, anyway. I know this video was uploaded a while ago but I kept It on "watch later" and I have just seen It again. Thank you so much for your videos! You probably have read more comments by me (even though you don't remember my name), because I am a huge fan of yours and, although we are on different parts of the world, I LOVE yo see your vídeos. Thank you so much for reading this!

@@kathleensmith644 I am asking you questions, because one other time ,Din Life got angry when I asked such simple questions. I am NEW to sewing.terminology escapes me .so does fast forwarding over areas,as they assume we have BASIC knowledge, and I get angry then. have you seen the sizes that have been put up for this bag? 60cm is tiny so is 60 by 25cm am I reading it wrong or just plain stupid? it looks a bigger bag she is sewing. I vowed I was not coming back to this site because of laclk of empathy

@@janhulse9518 , 1 cm is about the size of a fingernail. So 60 cm is not so tiny. Maybe you got mistaken with mm ?

Hand sewing is so relaxing. I’ve been sewing since I was around 9. When I grew up in the 50’s almost everyone had someone in the family who sewed, mostly machine sewing but when you get a needle and thread in your hands, it’s a completely different experience. If you get frustrated with the experience of it, it means your OCD is getting the best of you. We all want to be perfect at everything we do but we can be too hard on ourselves. Any kind of sewing can give you confidence that you can be creative and make things that will go out into the world adding beauty in sometimes the littlest ways. Watching you hand stitch is so calming and peaceful. I feel we are all heading in the right direction 🌟😎

I used to hand sew a lot when I was a kid through this video and embroidery I've gotten back on it and I love it. Now I remember why I used to sew so much! It gives a sense of peace. I was also wondering if you could do a more detailed video on how you "attach" more thread when its6 falling short. I'll definetely would love not have so much thread waste, but I didn't catch how you did it at all! Wonderful channel!
