I'm disappointed that there aren't any jobs for wizards and witches in the arts, given the number of portraits lining the walls of Hogwarts. I notice that Prof. Flitwick conducts the Hogwarts choir. What about wizarding composers? John Williams, perhaps? Speaking of music...There's a wizarding rock band called the Weird Sisters.

I'm thinking Potions Master would be one of the best jobs, specifically if you had your own apothecary store. Selling medicinal potions to those that need it or working at St. Mungo's hospital making the healing potions would be a good job that would be very much in demand. So if you could brew perfect potions, or work on further improving or modifying existing ones to be better effective for healers to use, then it might be a useful trade that would be popular.

I'm surprised you didn't bring up Luna's mom while talking about how cool it would be to invent magical things/spells -- she literally died from doing that, and I imagine there are many people in the long term ward at St Mungo's who were inventors as well. While a fun vocation, it's probably one of the most dangerous.

I'd like to be an author in the wizarding world. It seems like an underated job, but seems pretty rewarding, especially if your books become best sellers. I wonder how much Newt Scamander earned when his book Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them became not only an incredible best seller, but also part of the Hogwarts curriculum?

Tbh as an artist I really wanna find out how to paint a moving portrait. I know you have to develop the film of a camera *just right* to have moving photos but what about paintings? Can I paint something in Picasso's or Van Gogh's style and have it move or does it have to hit a certain amount of realism to be able to move? Imagine abstract art moving xD Great Video btw :D

Not sure. But. I believe to have a cognitive moving portrait of a witch or wizard you must include in your pigments a portion of said magical being. IE hair fingernails etc. Animals also move in portraits. Nothing dark. Just some part of the subject. I’m quite sure Sir Codogan’s pony was his pony in life.

Funnily enough, I agree about #1. When I imagined myself what my story in the wizarding world would be (and I like to imagine things a lot), I ended up being a wand maker for part of my life. There's no way I wouldn't experiment with various cores, materials, shapes etc. if I were a wizard. Maybe I would end up creating something that doesn't even look like a wand anymore. If any object can be used to channel magic, who's to say the wand we know is the most optimal one. If the magic Rowling described was real, I have a serious suspicion the wizarding community has not pushed this area to its limits, yet. Hell, supposedly the most powerful wand in existence was created hundreds of years ago- the sheer fact there haven't been any progress in that area for such a long time suggests the wand making process has stagnated and could use some creative brains.

His position allows the individual holding immunity from the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy, and requires one to act as a bridge of communication between the Republic/Jedi Order, who have a very high degree of control over Wizarding affairs, (although due to the requirement of being on Coruscant for most of the position, and the overall attitude of earth, very few magical people actually know this position exists), and the various International Wizarding Governments. The position is currently held by Hero Factory Bio-Mech Diplomat Unit 0002, who also serves as security for Hero Factory Founder Mr. Akiyama Makuro when on Coruscant. She is very nice. It seems like it is more a consequence of muggle influence on the magic world. I'd like to work in the Auror in said office within the Department for Magical Law Enforcement and then also teach Defence Against The Dark Arts I also love dragons so I'd also enjoy being a Dragon ologist or even a Magi Zoologist because the many magical creatures are fascinating to behold etc and I'd even enjoy being a Wand Maker because I make them at home but different to how they are in Harry Potter

I don't know if this would be considered "best" but inn keeper such as Tom at the Leaky Cauldron and Aberforth Dumbledore at the Hog's Head.

I could imagine a wizard selling potions to muggles as miracle cures

I remember wanting to comment when this video came out but the comment section was off. My top 2 among those are duelist and auror although being an auror you have a huge chance in dying. You forgot the minister for magic job which also seems cool and potioneer. I love chemistry so I would have also loved to create potions as a job. As for pro Quidditch player that is something I wouldn't want. When I was reading about the game I didn't like it, and I know that if I was at Hogwarts I would have invested my time in perfecting control over spells and knowledge instead of Quidditch. I wouldn't mind to cheer my house team but never to play.

I like wand makers, but my true job in Harry Potter Wizarding World...I'm a actually a Seer. Yeah, you heard that right. I am a psychic medium in real life, but in Harry Potter I'd probably had a job as a Seer. Yeah, I like being alone. But actually unlike Seer in Harry Potter, I'm actually accept readings publicly (but not free, though. I had fares for that) even though I don't have that many clients. Also, I'm not doing like Prof. Trelawney which is the 'woo-woo' divination. I do some training and development to be a psychic medium, so I could focus on the energy and asking the consents of my clients before do my readings. What the same between me and the Seer in Harry Potter is I'm using tarot and oracle cards to read energy of my clients. Sorry for the long explanation, but I actually like Harry Potter even though I am a psychic medium. 😊 In fact, when I read and watch Harry Potter made me realize that I am actually had potentials to be anything I want like him. Including, become a psychic medium like I am now 😊

You missed out one of the oldest Wizard jobs in History. Royal Advisor. From Merlin onwards. Is there still a Wizard in the Court of St James?

If I was able to have any job that I wanted in the wizarding world, I would choose to be a Hogwarts professor and I would like to teach either DADA or Care of Magical Creatures.

Another off-topic thing that always kinda bugged me is mr. Weasley. He was OBSESSED with muggles. Why didn’t he marry one…?

After reading the books multiple times it really upsets me nobody was interested in all the magical creatures. Magizoologist looks like something I’d go into
