I used that foam stuff on the gear selector tunnel, and a storage bag with pad on the door for my knees. Got tired of the rub burn from my knees bouncing around. I use the same style helmet too. Don't wanna eat sand with a dirt bike helmet

I know!! I’ve seriously considered those! But also more expensive. Only concern is being able to get out of the vehicle quickly in an emergency or wreck.

@@MagargeeFilms i crashed on my lid hard enough where I should be dead and dented my aluminum roof in the soft sand, tip over on the side and cartwheeled on 3 different occasions. What I tell my passengers, try to push your feet through the floor and grip the bar/wheel as tight as humanly possible.

Have a 2016 yxz1000r se. Just ordered th Weller Racing (Yamaha factory) gears to to get me the 2019+ gearing. Can't wait to see the difference, the 2016-2018 gears are just too long.

The difference is awesome. I think they nailed it with the gearing. I used to own a 17 and traded up to a 20. Night and day difference

You should look into the crawl box so you can have bigger tires and crawl.

What’s a crawl box? Is that the brand? Does it replace the differentials,

@@bothetinman772 yes that is the brand, it doesnt replace diffs, more of a transfer case that has a high and low range.

i noticed you used the stock seats with the harnesses; didnt know that could be done without aftermarket seats, nice. Also, did you need special mounts for the harnesses?

I did not need special mounts! The shoulder straps wrap around the bar and weave through a metal clasp (included with harnesses). And the lap belts have brackets that bolt to the frame! (Also included). I did have to cut some plastic and grind a little metal for the new brackets to fit but super easy! Link in description 🤙🏽

Do you have an alternator kit or second battery? What do you do so the lights don’t draw to much power?

I just have the one battery. Ive never had an issue with a dead battery. I do disconnect the battery during the off season tho.

You missed your best and most important mod, which is that aftermarket cage. The YXZ factory "cage" is terrible and won't really protect you in a roll over.

Naw. I don’t like the extra weight. And it gets in the way of accessing the trunk.

@@MagargeeFilms I have the Yamaha version that swivels out and does not get in the way of the trunk at all. It however, combined with the spare tire is very heavy.
