Does The Yamaha YXZ 1000 Suspension Suck???

In the stock location, the shocks blow through the valving about 3/4 of the way though the stroke and then they becomes “spongey” for lack of a better word. The bracket helps that by changing the angle and helping the shocks stay more progressive through the stroke. Also, you’ll probably want to trim the plastic around the cutouts where the shocks come through the hood. When the suspension compresses and the shocks swing out, the reservoirs will rub on that plastic. Or at least both of the YXZs I’ve installed the bracket on.

Thinking about one for my z. Let me know how it works out. I’d also look into a front frame support kit too the yxz are very weak in the front.

Could drop preload a bit but you won't be able to get it a whole lot lower

It was a jamesway offroad bracket. I think they stopped selling them though
