''Believers are only brothers. Make peace between your brothers and fear disobedience to Allah's command so that you may receive mercy from Allah Almighty.'' (Quran / Surah Al-Hujurat 10)
In other words, all believers, as they gather together under the Liva-i Tawhid, are like brothers born from the same mother and father. In this case, it means to correct the arguments and disagreements between your brothers by eliminating them.
"Do not denigrate yourselves with your tongue, and do not blame others, and do not call others by nicknames that they do not like and that indicate their disgrace." "How evil is the name that indicates the believer's sin after his faith." (Quran / Surah Al-Hujurat 11)
If he curses someone or calls him a bad name, it is necessary to immediately repent. That is to say, O believers, whoever causes harm by committing faults that shame one another is just as if he had condemned himself. Because all believers are in the position of a Personal Unity due to the brotherhood of Islam, His Holiness Almighty said, "Do not condemn yourselves" to indicate that accusing a believer of faults and misdeeds will be like condemning all believers.
''O believers! Avoid many doubts. Because some suspicions are sins. Do not talk about people's faults, so that they will be happy with what Allah Almighty has prevented from their situation. Don't let some of you backbite others. Does any of you like and desire to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Of course you will hate this. Fear Allah and do not engage in backbiting. Because Allah Almighty accepts sincere repentance and has mercy by forgiving your sins. O believers: Do not look for the shortcomings of your family and do not talk about everyone's mistakes. In particular, do not attempt to inspect based on your assumptions about things that will violate someone's rights, especially with some unfounded superstitions.'' (Quran / Surah Al-Hujurat 12)
The main reasons that cause backbiting:
1- By telling the circumstances of the person he backbites with, he appeases his anger, that is, his grudge.
2 - He participates in the backbiting of his friends with consent.
3 - He wants to make the person he backbites dislike in the eyes of the people by praising him.
4 - By mentioning the backbiting of the person, he frees himself from that elephant.
5 - By pointing out the shortcomings of others, he proves the superiority of his own self.
6 - A person who is jealous of being talked to and honored by that person backbites him.
7 - By intending to have fun with him, he means making people laugh.
8 - He backbites for the purpose of ridicule (insult, belittle, contempt) and ridicule.
9 - When the person he backbites commits an evil act, he becomes arrogant to himself.
10- He says that this action of a lazy person made me feel sad and sad, but he is causing himself to backbite.
The reason for the revelation of the verse about backbiting is that two people from the Companions backbited Salman al-Fâris radiyallahu anh. That is to say, on some expeditions, the Prophet (peace be upon him) would give Salman-i Farisi as a servant to cook the food of two of the Companions.
One day, as sleep overcame him, Salman-i Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) could not prepare the food. Those two people sent him to bring some excess food from the Prophet's (peace be upon him) kitchen. Salman al-Fârisi radiyallahu anh came to Usama bin Zayd radiyallahu anh, who was in charge of preparing the food of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu aleyhi wa sallam. When Osama radiyallahu anh declared that there was no food left, Salman-Fârisî radıyallahu anh came back and informed that there was no food. Just as those two people backbited about Salman (may Allah be pleased with him), saying, "If he goes to a watery well, he will come back thirsty", they also thought that Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) was evil, and they said that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) had a bad temper. Usama did not give it.
Then, when these two people came to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, he said:
- "What happened to me that I see a piece of green meat in your mouth?" They said:
- O Messenger of Allah! When they said: "We did not eat meat":
- You backbited Salman. "If a person backbites his believing brother, it is as if he ate his flesh," he said.
It is stated in Tafsir-i Hâzin and Beyzavi that this verse was revealed based on this statement-i Risâletpanâhi.
Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) once said to Bilal-i Habeshi (radiyallahu anh): "O son of a black woman" and said: "O son of a black woman." Upon the complaint of Bilal-i Habeshi (may Allah be pleased with him), Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
- ''Oh Ebâ Zerr! Do you blame him because of his mother? "So, you are a person who has no moral values of ignorance left in you?" he said.
