Papillon is actually the French word for Butterfly. The other type of dog that is born even in the same litter whose ears do not stand up (drop-eared) are named Phaléne, en Francais, " m o t h ", even though they are as beautiful in their own right.

@@Rocadog I'm from Luxembourg, and I'm actually half Luxembourgish and half Belgian. As we are such a small country which relies heavily on international relations, we learn German, French and English at school from a very young age, and I'm also currently learning Spanish. So, that's why I speak 6 languages: Luxembourgish, Dutch, German, French, English and Spanish xD And your English is very good! :)

Interesting, i always thought that the official language of Luxembourg is French, and i had no clue that you have your own language :) I visited Netherlands and Belgium and i loved how even seniors speak english (it is quite rare for older people speak english in Czech republic, where i am from).

@@RocadogMost people I met who aren't from Luxembourg think we are a part of Germany, that we aren't a real country, that the Luxembourgish language is a German dialect, ... (*sigh* xD) But you aren't completely wrong in saying that French is our official language; we actually have three of them: French, German and our national language Luxembourgish. :)

I love this format. I got only about half right. I love quizzes of any kind, even if I do not get many right. I just learn so much from the wrong answers being corrected. (Must be the teacher in me, my former profession.)
