Streamed for 3 years and ended up with an average of 2-5 people in my stream. There is so much more factors than these tips. Whatever you do, you might NEVER receive a big following. Number one rules is to understand that you will most likely never make it big. So do it for fun and play games etc THAT YOU WANT TO PLAY.

I apreciate your feedback, but I asure you that anyone CAN grow an audience. Anyone can also make excuses for why they can't. Obviously there are lots of participating factors that you cant cover in one video, but the bottom line is that success comes to those that treat it as more of a lifestyle and obsession. You could say the same about nearly any type of challenge. The more you bury yourself into it, and the more seriously you take it, the more you will learn, and the better you will become at it. This list gives people a reasonable starting point to build that. Most people will quit simpley because they dont find the fun in the things you have to do to achieve success. There is a well know adage of any given entrapreneurship that the difference between success and failure is doing the things that most other people decide they dont want to do because they arent fun, or are too hard. If you learn to love doing those things or at least tolerate them you will find the success.

Personally, I'd also suggest removing ads from the pre-recorded stuff. I did that on my own channel and within a month I was regularly getting between 3-5x my usual viewers. If you want to make a source of income other than ad revenue, Patreon and Twitch Memberships are an excellent way to do so once you have a consistent following and a reason for them to actually want to become a member.

This is not a viable source of income without ad revenue and KZbin will still run ads and just not pay you for the revenue. Ask any un monetized channel. Maybe your views increase because KZbin gets to keep all the revenue. Who knows.

What is the best way to filter/manage channel watchers playing in your stream with you? I am a new streamer, and I recently had a regrettable situation happen on my stream. It was my fault. I didn't even consider the situation. An individual was in my stream chat, talking and asking questions about the game and game play. I interacted with this individual for about an hour while playing and streaming. Eventually this person asked if they could join me in a game. Remember, I had only streamed 4 times prior to this night. Anyways, I said sure ( I know, big mistake ). They got in game and immediately started asking if we could play a higher level and since I was playing with a friend who was a low level I said no and if they wanted to play they would have to play the lower level. They agreed, started playing and complained the whole time that they were used to higher level and didn't like it. After a few matches they said they were going to jump out of game and play the higher level. All good. Except he never left the voice chat. They kept talking about HIS game like we were there too. It was very awkward and annoying. I never said anything (the part that is my fault as well) so it continued for an hour until I ended the stream. I do not have any moderators yet since I am so new. What advice can you give to screen/filter/manage people who want to engage in a game with me? Sorry for the length of this posting but I thought context might help. Thank you for your time.

the problem is not to grow, but to be discovered 6 feets in the undergrounds of twitch.

While watching another streamer, I asked questions and got good answers. For example, I noticed he was playing music and singing along with his favorite songs; he told me how he integrated his Spotify music playlist into his live stream using StreamElements and LumiaStream, but also prevent copyright strikes from recording that music in the video-on-demand (VOD) of your live streams. Other streamers may not help (ego/competitiveness/too busy to notice/etc), but some do; basically, find a streamer that is doing what you want to do but also small enough to take the time to chat with you about improving your settings/extensions/etc. Support the community and other streamers, which can help grow your audience by getting raided by other streamers you have built relationships/rapport with.

great advice, with variety I think if thats what you want to do only then perhaps start with pre-recorded content if you don't want to do the option you mentioned, I've been posting to tiktok for couple months and not got a huge following but I've got a little community and just coming up to my first month streaming on twitch and I have average 8.4 viewers and have gained 60+ followers with roughly a quarter of them coming from twitch and the rest from my tiktok

This is some advice I got from another streamer: To get viewers just throw in "giveaway" and you instantly attract people, once viewers are chatting, say giveaway is at end of stream. The stream should be at least hour and half to two hours. Put on a game like fortnite or just chatting.

on popular games there are too many streamers, and on unpopular games there are not enough viewers.
@MichaelFeyrerJr10 ай бұрын
"Unpopular" Does not mean no viewers. When you are first getting started the goal is to get some viewers and hone your skills. You have to give yourself the best chance to get noticed which means finding less popular titles. Like I said Twitch is a marathon not a sprint. with less popular titles you have a chance to get noticed. with popular titles you have no chance of being noticed.

Visibility is king. Interactivity will help that too. I guess the biggest shock to always remember is that every day is a new day. Bad or good. Unless you score a regular, it's highly unlikely anything you did yesterday will help with the stream today.

Wait...video on demand is a thing that's available to newbies like myself too? I was told you had to have so many thousand followers/subs before you could record videos or upload pre-recorded videos on Twitch?
@MichaelFeyrerJr10 ай бұрын
Possibly to upload pre recorded stuff, but you can save your vods for people to see from day one.
@Xani1310 ай бұрын
Wow! I honestly did not know that and it's part of why I've been hesitant to start streaming regularly. Now that I know this, I can work with trying to set up a consistent schedule (if all goes well) where I can stream regularly at least once or twice a week if I can get away with it! ^_^ Thank you for the information, Michael! :D This is why I subbed to you! You're informative and at the same time you know how to put the cookies on the lower shelf for the newbs like myself! ^_^@@MichaelFeyrerJr

I suggest you use youtube as an archive of your video-on-demand (VOD) videos. I use Prism Live Studio to dual-stream live to both Twitch and KZbin, but you can also do this with OBS Studio by uploading your Twitch VODs to KZbin.

You have the best videos about OBS. Please make a video on how to fix when the OBS does not capture the game and shows a black screen.🥺🙏

Ok this was a great video until the end. So a brand new streamer who has no idea what they are doing has 4 weeks, maybe 12 streams to gain a following and if not they should quit? Really?
