Beat: To constantly hit or be defeated. Beet: A ground root vegetable. Read: To look at and comprehend a written language. Reed: A tall grass plant that grows in a wet, swampy area. Reid: A finely shaved piece of bamboo for woodwind interments. Where: In regards to a location. Wear: What a person has on for clothing. Ware: Things for sale. I could go on because your channel is so mind simulating! I love what you do! However, I do understand you are in reference to British English and I speak Western American English. But thank you!

English is _the_ language when it comes to homophones! 😎 Off the top of my head: • *tea* 🇬🇧😉🇬🇧 / *tee* • *meat* / *meet* • *pi* / *pie* • *heal* / *heel* • *weal* / *wheel* • *be* / *bee* • *die* / *dye* • *lie* / *lye* • *base* / *bass* • *tale* / *tail* (Alice in Wonderland, anyone?...) • *pale* / *pail* • *bail* / *bale* • *creek* / *creak* • *peek* / *peak* Nice one, Mitch, old mate, hopefully there will be a second part sometime! P.S. I _love_ that you froze the vid right when Nola stuck her tongue out at 11:38. 😁

Something I've noticed about English is that we use a lot more homophones than other languages - or rather we tend to use the same word with different meanings. French, for example, doesn't do this. In French, they have two verbs for the English verb of "know." If know how to do something you would use "savoir," but if you know a fact or a specific person, you would use "connaitre." My ex was Portuguese and when we went round museums in Lisbon which had descriptions of their exhibits in both English and Portuguese, she would always read the English description as she found that quicker.

I would prefer the channel title "Easy English" because "Easy British English" sounds too divisive. It's like saying that American English is the "Easy English" whilst British English is just some dialect.
