Was here for new years this year. Definitely had one too many at the mayan but it was an amazing experience. Nice to watch your video and remember passing the super aki and what not. Really cool channel!

I stayed there a couple years ago. It was nice but I couldn't enjoy it fully because I got a headache that wouldn't go away a few days into my trip 😅 Also stayed at the Mayan Monkey in Cancún.

I found what I thought was a decent price for a yoga retreat but now seeing there are private rooms available at a hostel on the beach and they offer daily yoga! I may need to dig a little deeper!

Don't get me wrong, I generally really love staying at Mayan Monkey, I have stayed twice in the Cancun one and most recently, this past Oct in the one in Tulum featured here.. I was supposed to stay a week in the Tulum one but couldn't wait to leave, there were some really disgusting roomies staying and I just couldn't take the filth and loudness any longer of these particular women I was sharing dorms with. The place itself is beautiful and I may, someday give the Tulum one another shot, but, I was just too through with it this stay. Music was the best too, really enjoyed the music.

I agree, hostels are always a hit or miss depending on what people are staying in the rooms with you. Luckily for me I had great roommates

So I am asking around about Cancun and all. I work a busy job and use Vegas as my getaway. I figured Cancun whether it be Palya Del Carmen etc would be a good choice to go. I am a solo traveler who speaks not a bit of Spanish. Would you go? solo...

Yeah I’ve never learned Spanish. I travel around the world and I only know english and Russian. I get around with mostly google translate and just pointing at stuff haha. I would recommend Playa del Carmen over Cancun unless you plan to do the all inclusive resort. Playa del Carmen will give you a more authentic experience. Or you could go to tulum it’s a big party scene there with lots more to do and more foreigners meaning more people speak English

Yeah its about a 30min bike ride. But the location is great because its right on the main road to the beach

right now im not up to date with the cases or deaths here and i plan to make a video about some of the health aspects of mexico. In Tulum barely anyone, like 90% of people dont wear masks. In Playa Del Carmen most people (90%) actually wear masks. Unless they're on the beach

Nah Tulum is literally 2 separate parts for the most part and you drive in to the beach stretch to go out and stuff. Worth it tho

Yes they do have bike rentals outside of the hotel! I don't remember the cost of them though, I believe it was around 150-200 pesos per day (in Oct 2020)

Is it safe? Personally I don’t have any experience there, I stayed there one night because I had to fly out the next morning. But I’ve had friends stay there for one or 2 days at the all-inclusive hotels. That’s about all you can do there
