here in asia, American skincare like the ordinary and the inkey list is SO EXPENSIVE like 2 times the price and sometimes I just wish I live in america. However now that I’ve gotten into Korean skincare, I realised for me in my country in able to get k beauty products for less than half the price, like cosrx original price usd25 I can get it for usd8 and I’m really grateful for thatttt.

I tried the tinted one, and it only comes in 3 colours. It feels really satiny and nice, in summer... But I need more moisture, during the winter, and it does NOT layer well. 😣 Plus, the Fair - Light is way, way too dark. It should be named "Light to Light-Medium," or something, because it is DEFINITELY not okay on fair skin. It makes me look like just my face is tanned. Can't use it on my arms and everything, because even though it's water-resistant, it still will transfer pigment, a bit. 😕 It's not orange, at least... But it darkens my complexion a lot. I really wanted to like it! A one-and-done complexion product sounds friggin' amazing. If you're light to light-medium, it would probably look lovely on you. 👍🏻

It's a very generous tube. Has also lasted me almost a year and finally is almost gone. I wasn't using sunscreen regularly enough before but now that I am I'd say it lasts about 6-9 months if you just use a facial/neck portion and then use a clear or white sunscreen on your body.

First off, I’m addicted to your videos! I have learned so much and am so grateful for all the time and research you put into all your videos! I was wondering: On videos like this, could you maybe make a chart of the steps of skincare routine and when you speak of a certain product, maybe you could put the list/chart up and highlight the what proper step the product should be applied on the face? Or even just explain like- (example) This serum would go on before/after your moisturizer. This sunscreen goes on before/after your moisturizer. I think it would help us get the most bang for your buck! Love you and look forward to more knowledge in the future!! 🦋

Sulwhasoo, a Korean luxury brand, has a Time Renovature Emulsion which claims to have Korean red pine extract which is highly moisturizing and contains antioxidants. I was not sure why, despite the light watery texture, it felt more effective as an alleged 'anti-aging' product compared to the other lines like the basic balancing line till I realized that red pine also contains pycnogenol. Add to that the star ingredients of red ginseng extract and other Korean medicinal herbs for skin, and that might be why the product is rich.

I looooove B oil! I was hoping it was just oil + algae extract, but for a blend with a triglyceride base, it's top notch! And, tbh, some of the oils in it can be hard to work into skin, this definitely smooths out viscosity. I always mix a few drops of squalene with my 1st moisturizer, then some drops of B with my 2nd one, and if I need a third layer (they are good lotions, btw, but my skin & climate are both super dry), I can add some PGA to it. So far, my moisture barrier is getting stronger, I've even had a couple 1 lotion days when the temps were over 30F, thanks to the improvements in my barrier

I'd love to see a video of what you suggest for the top 5 products for teens as well as someone in their 40's to have great skin. (But struggle with remembering to take care of your skin.)

Thank you for this video ,can you do a video for back acne as well , I suddenly experienced it after being months of bacne free , my back has also turned a darker shade than the rest of my skin due to hyperpigmentation due to kp , currently I am using amlactin on my back but I feel like it's too moisturising and making it worse or idk perhaps it's just bringing it all to the surface but it would be super helpful to know how to treat it effectively

Pipette has a broad spectrum mineral sunscreen with 50spf in squalene that's great! And only $8 for 4oz! Fragrance free and fine for sensitive skin because it's technically made for babies. 😅 It may be too oily for some but I usually just use a setting powder over it and I'm good to go!

Hi Cassandra! New to your channel and I'm hooked! Can you make a video (or you might already have one) on how to start a skin care routine for specific skin types. I'm 28 a new mom and have never really done any skin care and don't know where to start at all and probably have been focused on including sunscreen in the last 2/3 years 😖

I’m still learning so much and I truly love watching Cassandra I’ve learned so much! Wake up beautiful by Pacifica stings my face soo bad though. I don’t know if an ingredient isn’t agreeing with my skin but I’m putting it in the back of my shelf until I feel my skin barrier has 100% healed. Gonna check it back out in a couple weeks to see if maybe my sensitivity has decreased or maybe my skin just doesn’t like it!

I was wondering if you could do a video on recommendations for an older women (I'm 51) who has normal to dry skin with signs of aging, especially under the eyes and around the mouth. After getting out an abusive marriage and losing my mother and brother both last year as well as being a mother of a autistic son, I am finally wanting to take a little time to give myself some self care and love for myself. Thank you for making me smile everyday. I love products from the ordinary, Pacifica, and yes too. 😊

I considered the Pacifica Ceramide moisturizer. But when you consider the fact that it's only 50mL, it's really not that cheap at all.
@scarcat2469

You’re right that’s like, standard moisturizer price. I kinda want to try it but my skin is really sensitive to different moisturizers and it’s hard spend $16 on a moisturizer that might not work, so I stick to my Acure Radically Rejuvenating Night Cream that I know my skin loves.

50mls is pretty standard for a moisturizer
@alliecinder
@alliecinder 3 жыл бұрын
@@brookeelle6879 Maybe a Sephora moisturizer. But she was speaking of it in the same breath as CeraVe, which sells their ceramide moisturizer at the same price but for 500ml of product -- quite literally 10 times the amount. This is a pretty similar case for other accessible drugstore ceramide moisturizers. So I would say no, when it comes to those who cannot afford to buy a 16 dollar 50mL moisturizer every month, it is not inexpensive.
@brookeelle6879
@brookeelle6879 3 жыл бұрын
@@alliecinder $16 is not expensive and 500mls of a moisturizer for just your face is a ridiculous amount to compare to and it’s not even specifically formulated for the face, Cerave does have one specifically for the face and it’s $10 for 60mls. She didn’t say “the cheapest possible products on the market” she said inexpensive products that deliver results.
@alliecinder
@alliecinder 3 жыл бұрын
@@brookeelle6879 I am really glad to hear that $16 for a month supply of moisturizer is not expensive for you. That is really awesome! But it also demonstrates my point. Some people cannot afford to buy two different moisturizers for the face and body, and many more cannot afford to buy a moisturizer at all. This is why comparisons of considerably more expensive brands like Pacifica with bigger drugstore brands like CeraVe can sometimes be frustrating to some viewers. Because it's rarely acknowledged that these products are considerably less economically accessible than the drugstore products they are being compared to. A brand like, say, Pacifica, just isn't a viable alternative to the majority of, say, CeraVe users, who simply cannot afford products that are 10 times as expensive as the ones they're currently using. I'm not saying that it isn't a viable alternative for some, but for many it isn't. And since it is rarely mentioned, I guess I feel the need just to mention it as a matter of perspective. 'Inexpensive' is highly relative to a person's economic position. And although we are all guilty of it, describing something as 'inexpensive' is pretty problematic. The term takes a position on what the 'norm' is in terms of what's economically viable. And it's especially problematic when KZbinrs call products inexpensive, or inexpensive alternatives, because the economic norm for KZbinrs is not at all representative of the economic norm for the average viewer.
