don't forget that Naughty Dogs is one of very few companies (who made visual media content) that understand how smartphone work. When characters make a call with their smartphone (which obviously, an Xperia), the screen will turn off like all smartphone do, and when they take their smartphone off their face, the screen will turn on again. So awesome.

Powermuffin, Crysis 1 had that effect nearly 10 years ago. However Unchanged 4 has some other great details which are not noticed by many people. My personal favourite is the belt on the rifles. Why? Probably because weapons have been in games for God knows how many years and this small detail had always been omitted.
@jamstok
@jamstok 7 жыл бұрын
Sylwester Pastuszka i played crysis 1 and i did see that effect also, but its not comparable. In uncharted it looks real. Granted there are a lot of years between the games.. but it still blew my mind how amazing it looks

Half-Life 1 had cockroaches that reacted to player's movement and run away. Duke Nukem 3D had rats that were afraid of monsters and player. Quake 2 had swarms of flies that started to fly above dead bodies after some time. Ants in Skyrim? Jaw didn't drop, sorry, should have chosen something more impressive.

Holy shit I never even once noticed that the Joker face will appear on billboards and other things during the course of the game. I must either be blind or they hide them very well because I played threw the story of that game 3 times and never once noticed any of that. I also hate how some people call it a bad Batman game just because of the over use of the bat mobile. I mean if you just take those sections out then the game would still be much larger then other Arkham games. I mean the story was top notch the combat was as good as it has been the open world was one of the best. Really just because those missions could be a bit annoying doesn't mean the entire game was bad because of them. I mean I didn't even find them to take away from the game all that much its not like the Mobile sections played horrible. Sure they were always the same but thats the same with everything else all combat sections are the same as well as the stealth only difference is the number of enemies and difficulty

i agree with you the game is better than arkham asylum in my opinion and probably better than arkham city
@orchid9
@orchid9 8 жыл бұрын
Joker and bats appear and disappear everywhere throughout the environment. It's just by split second, sometimes you just see it and don't realize that you actually see anything out of ordinary. And then you like 'something's wrong' and you look for it and it's not there. When it happen for the first time you are already hours into the game so you already seen environments a lot so you don't really pay notice when something is slightly off.
@wisewolftony
@wisewolftony 8 жыл бұрын
CIVIL WARRIOR Yea really a game should not be called bad just for one gameplay feature I mean its not like it takes up a large part of the game. Not to mention a lot of the mission for the Mobile take place in side missions that you don't have to complete unlike your like me and need to 100% the game. Like some people feel like Asylum is the best game of the series. Witch to me is odd great game but I much more prefer the open world of the next 2 and their stories. Asylum story was basically just inmates running the Asylum and you need to stop them. While the other two games you didn't even know who you were going up against or how they were just screwing with you the entire game like Joker and Clayface in the City and then Arkham Knight in AK. Although as long as you know the Batman series then as soon as they started showing flashbacks of Jason Todd then you pretty much had to know that he was the Knight.

Uncharted 4's sub-surface scattering (the realistically translucency of skin). It is something that is noticeable without being aware of why what you are seeking just looks really good. When you actually stop to appreciate the way earlobes are fleshy, opaque and when backlit, have a deep, red like a blood-filled, living ear. The skin physics as a whole could be considered a "little detail" it is something that impresses on every level, conscious of it or not. Details like skin stretching over knuckles going white as blood is forced from the capilaries. Uncharted 4 has great fabric physics, too. Don't forget the Train from 2; the feeling of mass on a moving object with it's own realistic mass and enertia. Pretty much everything Uncharted has done belongs on a list like this. The delay of a distant explosion and it's report in Fallout 4. Last of Us was realistic on that point in the opening sequence if you walk into Joel's room and the news captures the blast which you see out the window. Since the TV camera is close and broadcasting at light speed, you see the fireball simultaneously on screen and out the window, while the tv captures the report at the time it would at that range, then moments later, the blast is heard in the "real world" outside the window. Think about that... taking the time to put in a realistic delay of distant sound while simultaneously showing the appropriate difference between the range of the same explosion from two different perspectives at once... and the player might not even see it if they rush past. Goldeneye's guns various penetration characteristics offer a depth to the PVP which no other game has even leaned towards. Anyone else find the perfect angle between the inner bathroom door and bottom of the stairwell to put fire through both doors and hit someone either attempting to come up to the bathroom or shoot someone who is doing that same cheese, from the main hallway? Ahhhh the Facility. Memories...

There are hundreds of tiny details in The Division. One I noticed was that all the missing person papers have individual information on them, pictures, bio, last scene location, even contact info for the person looking for them. I even noticed an Easter egg in one. The missing persons name was "Joker" and bellow the bio it said "Frequently says: Why so serious?"

A few more amazing details: - Test Drive Unlimited. I played the game nearly always in 3rd person, as the cockpit view on a screen is crap. Imagine my surprise when I picked a Corvette, went to cockpit view just to check it out and found a fully functional GPS map? - Driveclub VR. Same thing, really. In one convertible, there's a huge bar blocking the driver's seat from the passenger seat. No big deal? If you go into Replay mode and choose to be a passenger, you once again see a fully functional GPS map. This can't be seen while driving the car, only when you are a passenger. - Also in Driveclub VR, there are some stickers on the dashboard of some cars that are so well made that you can actually read them. - Doom 3 has a playable arcade cabinet with a parody of the original Doom. (at least I think it was Doom 3.) - Silent Hill 3. At one point, Heather (the MC) enters a disgusting bathroom, and you can tell her to reach into the toilet, but she refuses. However, if you have a save file from Silent Hill 2 on the memory card, Heather will still refuse to reach into the toilet, but then turn towards the camera and ask: "Who would do something so disgusing?" That "who" would be James from Silent Hill 2, who did reach into a toilet like that to pick something up. - Dino Crisis was often considered "Resident Evil with dinosaurs". Fun fact, though. In DC, you can find Jill Valentine's costume from Resident Evil 3. RE3 was released the same year as DC, and interestingly, Jill can dress up like the MC from DC.

there was this one game I saw on either X-Play or cheat back when g4 TV was a thing. I can't remember the name, I believe it was an Xbox exclusive. It was a first person shooter where you could eat, drink and even puke in a toilet all in first person. when I saw this it blew my mind. It was the most immersive thing I ever seen. you could pick up a hamburger, eat it and even see the bites of where you ate it. Not many games go to these lengths, even to today.

For me it's in AC brotherhood. At certain parts of the day Bella ring in Churches. For some reason I found that awesome running through Rome.

In Overwatch the vmodels and wmodels have the same animations. I mean that if you use an ability others will see it exactly how you see it. I think that's quite awesome

Yea and you know what about these ice cubes from mgs is even more insane? That these cubes actually melt according to laws of physics. Because ones that are closer to each other melt slower then the ones that are more apart.

This is by far not incredible by any standards until you consider both the game and the console, but: In "Sonic Adventure" on the Dreamcast (and Gamecube) little puffs of pollen would float away when a character walked through the grass in 'Windy Valley' and you could see the characters' breath when roaming 'Ice Cap'.

My first WOW moment in graphics fidelity came way back in 2006 when i popped in GTA IV in my Xbox 360. So i jacked a parked car and Niko Bellic does this cool animation where he breaks the glass to access the locked door. My mind was blown when i noticed that the pieces of broken glass actually fall near where Niko was standing! And i had a regular 480p Sony Television at that time! What were your first wow moments, mention them below!

Howya Doin Yup. Also the part where you're with Meryl, if you stare at her face in first person for too long you will see her blushing. The attention to detail in the MGS games is so great it makes Naughty Dog jealous.
