That game called The Show Must Go On has similar castle graphics to Rampart. So bring Rampart to the Intellivision.

3:55 They're using GRAM sequencing. The Intellivision's CPU is a 16-bit CP1610 and it's powerful enough to directly edit the memory the STIC uses for background tiles sort of like a primitive blitter. Though it has 8 sprites most Intellivision games uses GRAM sequencing for moving objects and reserved the sprites for missiles and bullets and such. But this games uses GRAM sequencing way more extensively than most for things like animating bosses and background setpieces and doing paralax scrolling.

I'd love to see more videos like this, pulling multiple homebrews together around a certain subject or common characteristic. "Homebrews with save / load feature!", "Homebrews with continue buttons", "Homebrew with great overlays!", "All the homebrews from this or that publisher!"... and so on and so forth.

Thank you. Best 21 minutes of nostalgia fun I'd ever spent watching something on youtube !! I'm 57 and I grew up with this golden-age console of my time. I COULD NOT believe these are Intellivision games !! Where were these talent wizardies who could accomplished such feast when I was 16 back then? I wouldn't probably have left my room & starved to death playing all these great games. Spectacular !!

Yeah i always said if they did this great and were able to fit all that on carts back in the day, we may still have intellivision today. But it would have been so expensive, now the technology lets these programmers push the original system to its full potentional.

When I get my tax refund I have to get some of these. The Pandora Incident is a must for me. The fact that there is a M rated Intellivision game with lots of bloody dead people has sold me on this game. LOL. Also, The Sorrow of Gaolan Thur looks promising. I want to play that as well. Finally, I'm impressed with Dragon Quest. I already played it on the NES, but I would like to play it again on the Intellivision. I've always enjoyed it (much more than Dragon Quest 2).

I keep watching this video as there’s so much quality here and I do love my Intellivision. Intellivision seems to be the perfect homebrew system because some of these games are probably the best on the machine. And as a retro gamer it’s a struggle to convince myself to play, say, Dragon Quest on the NES as the machine has so much more to offer. But on the Intellivision I’m now playing it through thinking it’s absolutely groundbreaking. Pandora Incident blew my mind. And I had no idea about either until I watched this video, so thanks!

But seriously, it's nuts to see the Intellivision perform at near-NES levels. People were still listening to DISCO when the Intellivision was released. It's 1970s technology, batting in a whole other league. Hover Force and Thunder Castle were subtle hints as to how far this machine could be pushed, but Intelli-Zelda? And Intelli-Dragon Warrior?!
