@@magicrabbit9446 They said most of the places were rented out, it's just no one hardly goes there because unlike America where most people in the cities have cars and drive everywhere, they aren't use to that option since they have a great public transit system, a majority don't own cars, or know how to drive. Most likely the wealthy is the only ones who could afford to live there and most of the time they buy to invest their money and not to actually live in all the locations they probably own. Just sad to see all these cities that are inhabited or could be inhabited by the homeless have people in power that rather see it rot then share it.

Balestrino is no mistery. Why are you posting random ideas without even fact checking first your information? Balestrino was inhabited until 1953, earthquakes, landslides and instability caused people to flee. The town dates back to 11th century A.D. It is believed that the town was owned by the Benedictine abbey of San Pietro dei. I visited the town 2 years ago and the only structure remaining is the castle. For God’s sake please read and research before you post all this garbage on KZbin.

This kind of mini documentaries are very interesting if the facts were accurate. The Italian city Balestrino is inhabitable due to too many earthquakes in the regions that give a grand instability to the ground. People left in 1950 for safety, it was only 400 people back then, the maximum habitants that Balestrino has know was around 800. And that's why it's not opened to the public. The idea behind this video was great, make sure you know your stories though

People were forced to work there and were so miserable that some dove to their death off the cliffs. That's how horrible it was. What? We know all about Balestrino, Italy. We know who built it and why, what they did there, and even why they left. So why you lyin bro. People lived there in the 1960s... and are still alive in other places. But "nooooobody knooooowws" lol

It seems like some of the best cities in the world have been abandoned because of politics.

This just made me realize homelessness has literally no reason to exist like wtf just turn these abandoned towns into homeless shelter's
@Telhias4 жыл бұрын
Homelessness was never about lack of homes but the distribution. If you move every single homeless somewhere else you could "give them homes", but that would not solve any problem. The abandoned homes are in places where people don't want to live whereas homeless are where people do want to live. TO solve homelessness you need to have enough homes in places where people want to be living, which usually run at premium.

An abandoned city in desert of China should be Loulan, NOT Ordos City. Your video shows the city during construction. Now Ordos is filled up with population of 200,000.

Umm how do i begin, i usually dont dislike videos but the title is abandoned cities right. You preceded to show cities with people in them, just low population but still not abandoned, then the other half was literally towns.

Can't get a house in Ireland and we're taking in 1 million more refugees by 2030, meanwhile there's other countries with massive city's that are empty 🤔

No, you are not alone in dislike. There are many of exaggerations and falsehoods in this film, caused by cheap sensationalism and greed.

First google search about Balestrino literally explains why it's abandoned and why no one is allowed in....there is no mystery..... it has earthquakes and became too unsafe...
