15 Largest Pacific Rim Kaijus

What’s going on folks, it’s time for another kaiju listing! Although, this one is going to be
purely based on the Pacific Rim Franchise. Now we all will probably agree on this, "Pacific
Rim" took the giant monster genre truly to another level. I mean, who can resist a movie
about giant robots fighting a war against alien monsters that gave Cloverfield a run for his
money? It was seriously the dominant giant monster movie of the modern age until the
Monsterverse decided to step in. Although, being a completely different universe, Pacific
Rim sure does seem to have a bit more freedom in the implementation of its Kaiju since
they all seem a bit over the top. Not that we’re complaining, it’s actually more interesting.
So, without dragging the intro too long, let’s start the countdown of the 15 largest Pacific
Rim Kaiju right away!

@@AJRAGES22MUCH Well he was meant to help defend the breach alongside Raiju and Scunner, but even if his role was reversed and he was meant to go destroy cities we wouldn’t have been to see it because he also needed to assist Scunner because Raiju had been obliterated. And because all of that is important to the story, we wouldn’t have seen any Slattern destroying any cities unless PR deployed him early into the movie, and obviously, if it’s a category 5, you probably should save it till the end of the movie.

i like the PacRim kaiju more from an aesthetic perspective as they really look more unconventional and unique, as opposed to Godzilla verse where they looked like just oversized versions of insects and animals. in PacRim, its almost like the makers would just put in some random quantity and variety of limbs, eyes, tentacles, horns, tails, appendages, special organs, etc. then put them into some random mixing machine and then comes out a novel or alien looking giant creature.

1:23, 3:14, 5:28, 7:41, 8:21, and 9:42 I like one of those lizard like kaijus with tails and wings. Hakuja, Otachi, Strikethorn, Reijin, Raiju, and one and only Mega-Kaiju. They all remind me of dinosaurs just like balloons did. Not only do they remind me of dinosaurs but they also remind me: going on vacation/field trip and seeing some reptiles. They got those smooth scale textures, those soft fangs and claws and they kinda feel a little cozy.

The newer Mark 6 and Mark 7 Jaegers were smaller and lighter than the ones we see in the first movie, and as such aren't as durable as the older models such as Gipsy Danger and Cherno Alpha, and they got wrecked in part due to their inexperienced pilots. All 3 component Kaiju of the Mega Kaiju were smaller and weaker than Raiju, the smallest Catagory 4 Kaiju during the Breach Battle at the end of the first movie. In comparison, Slattern when emerging from the breach was 3 times taller than Striker Eureka and is stated to be the most intelligent of the Kaiju, and the greatest threat ever faced.
