At 6 weeks I still have a lot of pain on the left side, under my knee & bruising on the top of knee (femur) and left side (femur) also. ( it's hard to explain) I had my rt. knee done this time and recovery is brutal. It was not the case for my Left knee. I'm finding it hard to bend my knee because of the painful bruising.

Hmm. Hang in there! Deep bruising after surgery is often a sign of bleeding from the time of surgery that is resolving. Hopefully the pain will be short lived. The main thing is to stay in touch with your surgeon, and be evaluated in person to make sure something worse is not happening. Be on the look out for fever, shakes, or chills. If you have anything unusual take your temperature.

everyone is different, but depending on where you are, I would expect you to be doing very well. 12 weeks after surgery. The first thing is to talk to your surgeon, to make sure there’s not something else going on. Have them review the postoperative x-rays. bloodwork may be in order to rule out things like infection, or other problems. If everything is negative from a medical point of you, then you need to hit the rehab harder. Sometimes transitioning from a physical therapist to a personal trainer does the trick in this stage of recovery.
